DJ GB Bob Sapp Fires Back At Ariel Helwani In A Groovy 70s Style Video

Parts of this video were interesting. I was wondering how this is supposed to be a response to Ariels comments. Aside from that one gay picture of him holding up the round card.

At first I didnt get it–but now I think I do after thinking about it. Sapp is basically saying he gonna make his money. (hence the cha cling at the end of this stupid video) and uses the analogies of black exploitation type images to show the similarities of what 70 actors had to do to be seen in a movie. The whole pimp thing. Then he tries to liken himself to those of the pioneer MMA and pro wrestling greats of the past. Nice touch but I can’t and won’t put him in the same sunlight with Magnum TA or Dan Severn or even Sonnie Carter cuz all of them have done remarkable things for their sports–to include Sonnie who can if he wanted to bring a damn gud fight. Bob is saying he is going to get paid and he doesn’t care what fans that love the sport has to say simply because we may not have been around in the days when he may have looked like a “real” fighter or even a “real” professional wrestler. The more we demand his head the more promoters overseas will book him–everyone except for countries from Canada downward to Brazil. This video in truth was far from funny to me but it makes me realize that this guy is “not” going to stop throwing fights and being a circus freak. I’m done bashing him or even acknowledging him at this point–cuz despite whether you like a guy like Tito or not his induction speech spoke volumes. And to think we see guys crushed when they have to retire and this clown keeps right up with hsi bullshit. SMH

I watch almost a whole minute and a half of this video. Can anyone beat my record?

Dont know why people hate on Bob Sapp so much. Its not like the guy cant fight or doesnt have skill. He has been in the ring with some MMA/kickboxing legends! (i.e. Nogueria, Remy Bonjasky just to name a couple), so its not like he came from nowhere & started ‘fake fighting’, he has payed his dues as far as im concerned. Go check his fights on wiki. This video wasnt his best, but the 1st minute or so was hilarious! I like the guy because he going to do WTF he says no matter what Ariel H. says, so called ‘real’ fighters say, etc. Just asks youself; do i wanna end up like Gary Goodridge? Jens Pulver? any of the ‘legends/significant’ fighters that ‘made a difference’ in MMA who are now broke as hell or working a regular 9-5 like the rest of us? OR get f*cking paid like Bob Sapp?!? Nothing but respect…smart a** dude, but he definitely needs to find some hotter chicks…lol
