If you just listen to this fight Joe and goldie makes it sound like sanchez whooped joes ass.Watch the fight with out sound this fight was a draw at best,Sanchez wont be able to handle B.J.,Sherk or ken flow.

Amazing fight. Color commentary was dead-on; Joe was one-dimensional and Diego was not. But you can’t say he didn’t bring it.

Worst fight of the evening. Diego truly showed a good diversity of strikes, but no power at all. Maybe, after he stabilizes he can get some of his power back, not now.
Joe was pathetic! He did everything, from talking to the crowd to laughing at Diego, but did,t show any fight. No chance this guy can be a champ acting like a clown. He really need to go learn some new tricks and remember that, once in the octagon, he should take the fight more seriously. He is tough enough and powerful enough to become a champion at WEC, but only if he gets a little smarter.
Now, let’s see Florian wipe the floor with BlowJob Penn and a battle between Sherk and Sanchez.

FighttheFight, is absolutly right Rogan is always biased but most commentators are too. anyways diego looked alright, but i don’t think he is ready for Florian or Penn, despite Penn’s loss to GSP….Penn is a monster in the lightwieght division.

To those who said this was a bad fight and worst of the evening are retarded. There was little ground work but it was very busy and great. The stand up was great. There were plenty of great exchanges. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. No other other fight was like that.

1. I watched this live, saw the whole fight and had to bail before the decision. Still don’t know who won…reading all the post the best clue I can get is from DurtyKurty. Which if Sanchez won I can see that.

2. Diego seemed to push the pace but, going from a stocky wrestler to a lanky boxer seemingly over night does not work for anyone. If he won he barely won.

3. You can’t question Joe’s heart or chin. If he’s goin to WEC that’s probably the place for him. I’ve never seen him KO’d on the mat or even out run. He just gets beat by lack of offense. When he realizes he’s a short stocky little bastard and learns to jump into his punches and bait people into short inside hooks, he may find his way back.

I think Rogan’s commentary was dead on as well. Not once did Stevenson throw a kick or a knee. You can’t expect to beat elite fighters with a one-dimensional attack. I don’t think it even occurred to Stevenson why he lost that fight. For all his heart, he is extremely predictable.

Sanchez, on the other hand, will improve and be a force at 155.

I was watching it again and I still have the impression that Diego came to leave everything in the octagon (although he lacked power) and Daddy was there to have a good time in the gym.
Steamer Bean is right, Daddy needs to learn to bait and jump, but with competence. He forgets that every little punkass kick or weak jab that lands on his face counts some serious points in the judges scorecards. He cannot just stand up there pretending it’s a boxing match.

Karpil I think most people wanted to see a clear victory from Diego… But it was very close and didn’t throw Joe’s ability into question whats so ever. Joe trained hard for that fight and he was determined, both BJ Penn and KFlo beat him on the mat not in stand up, why? Beacuse Joe’s tough to beat that way, he keeps coming. Diego’s biggest problem wes with the drop in weight he didn’t seem able to take Joe down, he would have had a clearer victory on the ground if he avoided that iron guillotine of Joe’s.

florian and sherk are good matches for sanchez….i think diego wouldnt pass over kenflo this time…..sherk vs sanchez….and penn vs kenflo…..if bj wins over kenflo and then wins over sanchez or sherk…there will be no legitimate contender for penn…this if penn trains seriousssssssssssssss

Blatently obvious stevenson had no other ideas other than boxing… diego is a bad man. always like watching him fight. he has potential to be a champ but damn its gonna be hard with the likes of penn and florian.
