It is good to see Diego back in the win column. He was good in this fight, but not great.

I hope he keeps his head screwed on so he can reach his full potential.

His fight with Karo was amazing. If he had fought that way against Koschek the results could have been quite different.

That, my friends, is what I call a beat down. Bielkheden couldn’t handle the intensity. Diego was pretty pumped for this fight.

On another note, what’s with the reference to God and Christ all the time? Why is it always the dickheads that are all praying and thanking Jesus in the ring. I say, if you’re gonna be pulling Christ into it publicly, don’t be shoving people at the weigh-in, trash talking/trying to fight outside the ring. Another one is Captain America, who had a habit of talking about the Lord all the time, and then decided he’d just go ahead and start breaking promises/contracts. Hell, even Hughes brings up his faith all the time and then is all cocky and insulting towards Serra, badmouthing anyone he doesn’t like.

Leave the preaching to preachers if you’re gonna be a dick to anyone who you don’t like or who is a little mean to you. If you’re gonna claim to follow the Man, live like him. Treat the sport like a sport; leaving it in the ring. Be kind and turn the other cheek to minimal insults outside the ring.

Anyway, good fight Diego… hopefully you’ll mature in your spiritual life as well as your game and show us some more intensity.

Good solid win for Diego using his classic GnP style. I had no doubt he’d make a rebound at 170. He lost to KOS and Fitch, not some scrubs off the street. I see a title shot coming down the pike for Diego. He’s relentless.

Diego looked great, but can he beat bigger, stronger guys who can outwrestle him? Losses against Fitch and Koscheck and probably Hughes and St.Pierre would say otherwise. I think he ought to drop down in weight. A win like this is fool’s gold.

Nice fight, good control of a BJJ fighter by Sanchez.

I wonder why fighters when they’re on the mount don’t do the double-fisted hammer punch, like Kazushi Sakura used to. It’s such an effective punch, and hard to block because if they get their arms up as an attempt to cover their face, Saku used to hit them on the side of the neck.

Once a double-fisted punch lands, its all over.

The Diego fight was another one of those fights I wish they broadcasted with that pay-per-view. I wonder how hard it would be for Sanchez to drop down to the 115 lbs weight and fight Penn. (Probably not going to happen now with this win)

Sanchez will never be a Champ at WW in the UFC IMO, he needs to move down to LW and even there I really don’t see him beating the top competition. I don’t think he could beat GSP/Serra, or Penn/Sherk.

It’s fuqd up that they didn’t show this and the Koshcheck fight on this PPV, because I would have bought it!
When they don’t show the good fighters who can really fight on PPV, it makes it the $45 less attractive!

Nightmare can squab and so can Koshcheck, oh yeah Pit Bull too. I would have bought this if they were on TV.

Like UFC 81, that was worth the money to watch that fight!
