Really Diego? You a world champion? Get the fvck out of town. Once people found out you couldn’t strike at all your whole shoot for the double or single after absorbing punches fell apart. Then you and Koscheck had a terrible STANDING battle in which you got owned. When you strike you throw hooks a mile away from their target, throw punches in combos and never close distance. You are just taking up card space that other better fighters could fill.

I loved everything he said. And these types of interviews are the best. The most raw. If this was an espn interview, it would have been so manufactured and lame. Instead, he’s being interviewed in this weird sort of clusterd office space that I guess is his office or something but I really have no idea what the actual location of this interview was. It was indeed bizarre. But it made if better and more real. Babies disappearing and all.
That being said, it probably doesnt bode well for his future fighting career. He seemed like a guy who’s been there, done that, and has a clean, unfettered perspective on the sport and his legacy. I certainly don’t think he can honestly be contemplating a title run, but he can put on some intense matchups. Call him a modern day Tito Ortiz. It’s over, but its still gonna be interesting to see what happens.

All I know is Diego lets it all hang in the ring!! He doesn’t hold back and definitely doesn’t run. He makes fights into wars!! The man has my respect as a fighter and as a person. He’s still evolving and improving his game. This is a real test for him. Jake is a beast and I think who ever wins this is gonna be a threat to the belt. I have to go with Diego on this one bc he always fights with a fast intense pace, with all his heart and he just has the experience and tools to win.
