close fight but there is no controversy. I saw Siver winning also. They both rocked each other once – Siver rocked Nunez in last seconds of the fight – and Siver finished stronger. He was also more aggressive and controlled the center. 29-28 is exactly right, I was only worried that they could give it to Nunez, but they rendered a perferct decision this time.

How either way? Siver may have kept the center of the octagon, giving the idea that he was controlling the cage… but his strikes were definitely not as effective, and he wasn’t pressing the action, nunes was. Bad call IMO, nunes was the one doing damage, I had him winning the two rounds I saw. That take down in the second didn’t inflict damage, and Siver didn’t inflict any damage after he took him down… so it doesn’t count for s*** to me, and any judge who’s ever been in a fight would agree. It’s stupid that they award more for someone getting the upper hand on a scramble, then they do for someone landing a vicious spin-kick.

Siver made his shots count and the little takedown in the second probably gave it to him. Very close fight.
