i was shocked.. not that heath is a great fighter in my eyes.. but this came did things no one expected.. things that are under used and very effective.. the front kick can hurt when it digs into the gut and throw you off game. also that toss at the end was crazy… it knocked heath out i think!

Man, late stoppage for sure. A beauty of a fight though. Boetsch is a warrior and hopefully Dana will reward him by bringing Fedor to the UFC.

ROFL that’s one of the most awesome tosses I’ve ever seen, he almost tossed him on his head! i liked the front kicks too, so under utilized in mma. great fight for Boetsch

LMFAO Change your name to “I know nothing about MMA”,Are you like 12 years old or something?

Tim was quite impressive here in his UFC debut but considering its his first fight in the “bigtime” and he’s only a Lightheavy he has no chance of meeting fedor.

I’m with MMAFAN06 on this one, Heath took a ton of shots and was still throwing back hard, tagged Boetsch a few times I believe.

Great exhibition of the use of the front kick, too.

I saw one of Boetschs fights on tv from the IFL but he lost. Seemd like a solid fighter though. He worked Heath badly and that toss at the end wow like heath was a little kid.

Are people ok in here? First it was complaints about “Early” stoppages by Herb Dean…not this was “another late” stoppage by Dean….make up your minds.

David HEath is tough and he gave him time to fight back, Dean is very good at that, not to mention he’s a fighter himself…stoppage looked perfectly fine to me…

You want late stoppage…look up “Ninja vs Lawler” in Elite XC

Impressive. I wasn’t this excited about a striker since Alexander’s first 2 fights (although we know what happened to him…).
Late stoppage a la Pride FC but always entertaining to watch.

Oh and I wish the UFC rednecks in the crowd booing the fighters early on would get a clue. That really irritates me.

Heath was out when his head hit the mat, neigh , before it crashed to the canvas. Boestch was able to throw him like that because he was already messed up. Correct stopage would have been after just two punches… in my humble opinion. also, I’m sure Boestch will look different against a more skilled opponent

How about you go to a gym and train like the fighters you talk shit about then maybe your crap coments will have some merit. If you dont know where to go to train your more then welcome to come by Elite mma gym in thousand oaks ca,or any gym that will help you see what this sport takes.

Rkeegan,

Your heart-filled rant really brings a tear to my eye. Are your parents divorced? Did it crush you when you were young? Or maybe you’ve been dumped one too many times? Bro, that’s life and you will prevail.

As per your Elite MMA Gym nonsense, no one cares. We understand how much work goes into training. Look at Gabe Ruediger, blood, sweat, and tears my friend. That man defined training better than anyone at Elite in Billion Oaks.

Shout out to the Admin !

Reply: True. I’d like to see Dana give a shot at Liddell. I’m very confident he would win, and show everyone that he is for real as we all watch the “Ice Man,” have a melt down…

Reply: While Heath was “messed up,” Boetsch has the ability and strength to toss him like that from the 1st round bell.

Also, I’m not a betting man, but, if it were legal, I would be willing to bet you that he would look as good, if not better, against a more skilled opponent.

I’m sure they will make him climb the ladder, but, Liddell would be a good choice for his next win.

You guys see someone have one good fight and you get way too damn excited. Talking about him fighting liddell,.. are you kidding? Heath looked like a JOKE. And Hammil would never get thrown like that. You guys who try to jump on the bandwagon really show your inexperience to the sport. This guy has a LONG LONG way to go, and will soon be forgotten after his defeat to Hamil. Who’s ready for Hendo to beat Spider? It’s gonna happen. Get ready for the new middleweight title holder.

Here’s a fun background bit on Boetsch. His first ever martial arts class was in fifth grade; he and my son were buddies and took judo together. Boetsch weighs about 120 at the time, and after three classes he’s chucking this in-shape 35-year-old guy who goes about 6′-2″, 210. The kid was just born to fight.
