David Loiseau or John Howard should of been themain event but none the less Bautista is 43yrs old, never has competed before, never trained much (the skills he got from Cesar Gracie were alrigt tho. good awarness of ground position), extremly muscle bound and tense. that said he did alright I woulda thought he would of had more punching power than that and the adrenilen/ nerves looked like the got to him he clearly wont make it to the big promotions due to age and lack of skills but I would like to see him go one more time before writing him off. it was an alright debut everyones first time competing lacks thats why u have to always train

thaifighter, I agree Idk why people are hating on him. Sure he made alot of money fake wrestling but he obviously really interested in mma and decided to train in it. And the amount he got paid for the fight was far less than he has made in wwe. It kills me how people complain when A fake wrestler gets a high caliber opponent on his second fight (brock vs mir) but when another fake wrestler makes his debut against a guy who is not well known people complain. It was his first fight of course he is not gonna fight some well known super awesome fighter. I think it is dumb they announced he was a wwe champion, it is completely irrelavent to mma. I am fairly certian batista will never be in the ufc or any other big promotion but hope he has fun with his new hobby.

Batista didnt look that bad. Takedown and groundwork was pretty good. He won last long if he doesnt improve his stand up. He kept his hands down most of the fight.

Its his first fight!!! He is still an amateur who decided to go pro out the get go. You guys expect him to just come out and murder someone. I bet many of the ones who are whining have never steped in a cage let alone won a fight. If he starts right away with his takedown and bjj, he will start winning faster. 2 things everyone who saw the fight live cause a friend paid for it knows he didnt look hurt at all and secondly why is it acceptable for a guy to lay on his stomach and not get hit in the back of the head? In all mmma fights theres stupid rules like if on the ground cant knee a guys head or no hitting the back of the head when he covers up and lays on his stomach. I thought he did alright, its not like he was worried about losing at any point.
