i love both these guys but for some reason i think cain will pull a gsp lnp. i dont want this or do i think it will, idk, because cain is a killer and finishes everyone. this fight just seems too good to be true and will end up sucking or ending quickly. i hope it doesnt but everytime i get excited for a fight or say it will be a war, it never is. silva vs belfort was my biggest let down. not trying to be negative or rain on the parade. im very excited but not going to expect a war or an epic fight. it never happens anymore. sadly

Cain=Beast JDS=Speed/tech strike Great matchup. Cain has tooled everyone and I do believe the fight science that he probably has the best cardio recorded so far in the HW division. But as a fan I think its just about a pick’em regardless of 95% from Cain. I’m rooting for WAR JDS because I’m more of a fan of striking than wresting (more specifically the wrestling protection rules) and I do believe that Cain has more cardio and probably has more brute strength but JDS has the fastest hands I’ve seen for a HW in quite a while,… so go JDS!!!

@Tao: indeed. Isn’t it nice when we actually talk about real issues in MMA without the dbagery?
I do think Cain v. Junior is a toss up. Cain is the more complete fighter and, even if he doesn’t have that many top level fights, anyone who knows fighting can see that he is not human. However, JDS is a fast puncher and if he catches Cain with an upper when Cain is shooting, I am not sure if Cain’s chin will take it. I’m not sure if superman’s chin would take that kind of well put fast punch.
Cain’s layoff will also be a factor as it will probably mess up with his timing, especially against a guy like Junior. So, I’m just hoping they put a hell of a fight for the ages. One of those that change the history of the sport forever.

@srebrnjak you make a good point and I am also a fan of both fighters. I had shoulder surgery about 2 yrs ago. I would say it took me 6 months to recover and from than with regards to playing sports it was more of a mind over matter thing. I think after Cain shoots and takes him down with ease his shoulder really wont be an issue anymore. Honestly he probably regained that confidence in training. I also see what you are saying about him appearing smaller and possibly less athletic but lets be honest Cain is the more impressive fighter of the two and really should be able to pull it out even if he is 95% like you say because he will be able to control where the fight goes. I also dont buy this Cain has a glass chin bullshit Kongo is no slouch when it comes to Striking and if u remember those fights besides two punches Cain dominated that fight. Cain has dominated everyone in his career and I dont see JDS being any different even though he is the most technical striker he has faced it is nothing Cain hasn’t seen but on the other hand JDS has never faced anyone similiar to Cain.
