I really hope this isn’t the only video blog that we get. I’m not quite sure if he was poking fun at the whole situation, but I really hope so since so much of it was ridiculously blown out of proportion. Dana made the mistake that all too many of us have made, and that is realizing the power that the internet gives. But, the fact is, he is (not the owner) but a high ranking official and basically the face of the UFC and all of it’s under card associates. I remember when he first appeared as a skinny, redheaded, most likely Jewish, (red tail fox lookin) mofo. Now he’s a big bald white dude right? Whateva…thanks for all the no bullshit posts man, but how long could you expect a man of his stature to keep it real? He likes the F word way to much to ever be a public figure. I saw him saying FUCK in the middle of a serious ass interview the other day. Dana knows he’s at the top of the food chain in his business and he is fearless. He is doing what so many of us have done by retracting from the spot light when we realize we have said too much. Nothin new. Keep on Keepin on Dana. I for one am appreciative of the fact that your company bought the UFC from the scum that was running it originally and brought modern MMA not only to America but the entire world! Yeah, many forms of combat have taken place in many parts of the world since the dawn of man…but the UFC is one of the most honest platforms since the days of the Romans. I’ve seen some rigged fights, fights that the average douche would never even guess were bought, but I still hold the UFC in much higher sentiment than any other.

xouki- there is no elite xc, why would someone in the ufc wanna fight in strikeforce?? i believe any ufc fighter could easily take any strikeforce title from their champs. the level of comp. is night and day. yeah elite payed their fighters more, where are they now. a million to kimbo. . . elite was ran by morons.

I actually think this video is really creepy and shows that he just doesn’t understand how awful his tirade appeared to people. Now’s he’s playing the victim, which is totally ridiculous. Grown men learn to show respect to other people even when they disagree with them, and grown public figures have thought about their language and certainly don’t use homophobic slurs or any other kind of hate speech, however people think it was intended. Saying “I’m just being myself” is a pathetic device to avoid growing up and changing your ways. Putting a black X on your mouth? Are you trying to say that you’ve been muzzled by the media or political correctness? It’s juvenile at best, bizarre and creepy at worst.

White was playing the media games and he is only not doing the video blogs and his own show simply because the UFC shut him down. To try to spin it any other way is just that, spin. I liked the video blogs, but you can’t have it both ways. Even this blog to me is a way for him to basically be a smartass about getting muzzled and make light of what he said. I believe in free speech, but he should know you can’t have it two ways. You can’t be allowed to say whatever you want and not expect people to be critical of those comments. He won’t stay quiet for long, he ego needs it, but it will be interesting to see how long the muzzles lasts.

I do prefer that tape over his mouth though cause his every other word is just hurting the sport and the respect of the fans and future promoters. Dana should vlog now and then just for our entertainment. I think he was too used to the vlog that he got carried away and said some things which he shouldn’t. Loretta Hunt said some things she shouldn’t and I don’t see her openly (media style) apologizing to Dana. Either way, he just made some bad choices with his words that hurt the feelings of too many other people.

I think that the whole UFC vlog is coming to come back even better. Hell, Chuck Liddell did a 10+ minute vlog and we all got to see that here on MMATKO. I want to see some more! You know what they should do is use Roger Huerta to do the vlogs. He wants to be an actor anyway so why not? Give the guy a shot and see how he does.

As far as the tape over his mouth and the words on paper, I think that he is submitting to the media. Showing that he did screw up and that he won’t be in the limelight anymore. I believe that he is showing a sign of respect by doing this. Respect to those who feel were targeted personally. Women, Homosexual, Handicapped, and people that don’t like to “FU_K” but instead like to “MAKE LOVE”.
