Clearly undeserving of a title shot therefore no big loss to the UFC if he loses (probably the biggest PPV buy in history) and if Brock wins, it takes all the wind out of afflictions sails and the “dream match” with Fedor.

I am really excited for this one. Even though I wish, like everyone else he would fight FEDOR.
Danas plan. The big, strong, young Lesnar VS, Old, Wise, Experienced Couture. This should bring in a lot of money, and even more when Randy wins and gets back to #2 spot. Fedor get even more eager to fight Randy. Forced to happen in UFC. Making DANA and Couture even more money. Solving their problems. Only fedor will still be number 1 after all.

Personally I think this fight is shit. I’m stunned that the UFC is willing to turn itself into a carnival act.

Lesnar is not deserving of a title shot, and Randy should fight Big Nog for the title first.

I thought the UFC set a proper standard with GSP and Matt Serra. GSP wins the interim title and Serra comes back from injury to decide who’s the real champion.

Randy leaves the UFC, in my mind when someone leaves and a title match is done that fighter is the Champ not interim Champ. Nog is the UFC Champ and Couture should be fighting him first.

Anyhow, I have lost all respect for the UFC. I doubt I’ll be buying many more ppv cards in the future. Fuck them for making this a joke.

This is the reason why I have never been a UFC fan, I love MMA and I have to watch UFC, but their attitude towards creating a credible reputation is appalling. Imagine all the other sports organazations creating matches just to make big bucks, how many fans would stay?

I know alot of ppl are pissed that big nog is’nt getting the first crack at randy but if you think about it, they dont have anyone else but brock for this fight. Mir and Nog are already schedualed to fight and as the coaches of the TUF reality show breaking they’re fight does not make sense. As dana said this is like a tournament, whoever wins between brock and randy has to face the winner of nog and mir to unify the belt. In the end the best man will be champ and we will have seen 3 great fights to make it happen.

For everyone who thought this was a bad choice for Randy to make need to realize that this “Was the only choice he could make.”Time is not on Randy’s side. He could not make money anywhere else. The king was stuck and f*cked on this one. Brock wins then the UFC has a instant hit and a instant creation ala Dana White/Don King of MMA. Even if he lose to Randy he will punish him for a bit possibly making Randy look bad and maybe not such a hot prospect for a FEDOR matchup which will cost the UFC to make happen. And honestly, Brock right now is the only big guy they can use to fight Randy—Tim and Andre are “G.O.N.E.”

If i was randy i’de get the hell out of affliction as well. seeing fedor destroy the guy he went 5 rounds with would scare me half to death. brock should watch what he says about fedor, because if he beats randy fedor might just set his sights on him. if randy doesn’t get knocked out i see this fight going 5 of the most boring rounds in history.

funny how everyone is captivated by this ufc circus act. The foul mouthed dana white has no credibility, he has no intention of putting on the best fights, nor should anyone want to see them with all the restrictions and limitations of the octagon. Well atleast Randy gets back to fighting. If Randy can withstand the initial onslaught lesnar will bring he should be able to beat out a decision. From the 3 fights lesnar has had his Gp looks fierce, and I question Randy’s chin. This is just a hard style matchup for Randy, I don’t see Randy submitting Lesnar from the bottom. Closing the distance isn’t going to be too hard Randy but I wonder if randy can take him down or impliment a good dirty boxing strategy without him being put on his back. Either way it’s a fight that hasn’t happened so i’m intrigued.

This is bad news to me. Randy sold out. I believed him when he said Dana was a Jerk and he would be out of this contract in October and that the only fight that makes sense is to fight Fedor.
Now this crap of a new UFC 3 fight contract? Against Brock, who cares. Beating a newbie in the sport doesnt prove anything, Mir already did it.. Beating Fedor would. I mean lets face it, Randy lost the last two times he faced Liddell. Hes great but not as great as some people say best in the world and now with age catching up, he caves in to Dana White.
Guess what, the Fedor fight is never gonna happen now thanks to that.

Sorry man but that’s a really weird statement. If people like myself were WWE fans we’d be the one’s supporting this fight.

I’m a real mma fan and I’m pissed that this fight brings the whole sport into disrepute. You can state whatever reasons you like, the guy may turn out to be a good heavyweight one day, but he is 1 and 1 in the UFC and he gets a title shot.

If you think this hasn’t already adversely affected the sport you’re fooling yourself. I just had a discussion at work today with a non fan who had heard about this fight on a sports talk show and how the UFC was getting ripped over it. My co-worker who doesn’t watch mma thought just from what he heard the sport must be fixed.

Do you get it? This was the single stupidest thing that Dana White could have ever done. He’s just delegitimized the organization and mma, ironically making it the biggest circle jerk for WWE fans.

I wish Brock luck, but this stunt is the potential downfall of a very fragile sport. That’s what I’m pissed about.

Just wanted to throw a couple facts out there. The UFC was one of the first MMA shows, and has survived even when they were banned in their home country. When Pride started getting too popular they just bought them out, and were able to make some match ups that were only fantasy prior to the buy out. They’ve been number one for a long time. They’re not just gonna let some new company take their lunch. It’s business, and a company that has made its millions from brutality, based primarily in Vegas isnt just going to roll over and die, they’ll break a few knee caps if they have to.

really…who else are they going to put against couture? Heath went down, kongo, mir, and nog are all fighting in the next month or so. Number one…not too many hw left in the ufc which means no one is avaible to fight in hw division. Time off his needed after fights to prepare for the next fight…Number two, money! Ufc isnt dumb. What can i say thats not already been said? Dana is a douchebag and Randy is a stud and he should beat lesnar. Although lesnar is a former pro wrestler, i still think he poses a big threat to any heavyweight including Randy going by his previous performances, but Randy is the gameplan king and will probably have the fight won b4 he even steps into the octagon. I look forward to this fight and the day Dana White gets sacked by the UFC.
