Dana White is THE man!!! A true fan of the sport, an excellent businessman and a kind and funny person. Dana and the Fertitas brought MMA into the mainstream and nobody can deny that. The Fox deal is a huge accomplishment for mixed martial arts and I don’t think anybody besides Dana could have made that happen.

Just as everybody, he has his good and his bad. I agree with a bit of what lowkick has to say in that the Dana “douche” mostly comes from his shameless promotion of the UFC while trying to discredit other organizations. Most businessmen would operate in a similar fashion. As a holistic fan I understood that most of the “elite” professional fighters were and are in the UFC but to discount everyone until they get into the UFC is total crap. The propaganda is completely understandable even if I do not agree and “business as usual” (means no more strikeforce eventually, no s***).

What I really feel is that now that Dana has established the league in mainstream and the Fox deal, he can become more amicable whether that is who he is (chances are he is more naturally himself now than ever) or just simply now that the UFC can ease up a little on the propaganda machine. What I really want as a fan is to adjust some of the rules such as pro (read “advantage”) wresting rules such as no knees to the head on the ground. The promotion of the “American fighter” is natural because they wanted to first establish consistency in the US, the main money machine. We no longer need guys like Brock (he doesn’t necessarily hurt the sport because he clearly shows how you need to be well versed) to super promote the machine. So, some of the stupid wrester protection rules should be done away with although I highly doubt it because of the consistency part once again. Sorry for the ramble, tried to be as concise as I could while including the content.

You’re dammn right mmaok, Bonnar and Griffin have a place in the ufc for life. I’m with the other guy above who said he didn’t want to go back to watching unsanctioned fights in some 2,000 seat crappy rec center. Pay respect to what Zuffa did to the sport. There might not be mma as we know it today if it were not for them. And then you complain about their business decisions….??? Dumbass.

Dana White runs a business where he has to put on exciting fights. He rarely cuts guys who are exciting…KFKL, not sure of the Foster story but I hope you didnt expect him to let a guy with a Brain Henorrage fight…? I dont always like what White says and does but I think its clear that he’s NOT Don King. Often times it seems that if you hear the whole story, he usually is either in, or close to the right side of things from his perspective…remember that HE does have skin in the game while we have opinions…

And Brian Foster would prolly never get clearance from any athletic comission to fight. Just sayin…What happens when you cannot preform your jpb??? They get somebody who can do your job to replace you.. Suks but its the way it goes

KungFuLowKick Bonner was maybe one of the worst examples you could think of. Maybe Gabriel Gonzaga getting cut or Dan Hardy keeping his job Bonner is a warrior everytime he goes in and has fought the who’s who including probably the best outing against Jon Jones anyone has ever had.
