HomeFight Shows Dana White UFC 137 Video Blog 2 – Press Conference Bruno October 28, 2011 Fight Shows 24 Comments Dana gets a lot of love from all the fans. I also like the part at the beginning when Dana tells Roy, “You took my advice, love it”. What I find funny is how many people that hate on him watch his Vlogs and I just think hahaha he got you. Log in to Reply Dharmaboy October 28, 2011 Good Job Dana, listening to my fav Rage! He seems like a nice guy. but he puts the business hat on. Kinda you show his respect and he does the same. Log in to Reply KRUsouljahz October 28, 2011 and whats even funnier is that he does this at every event. smart business man and a great person. Log in to Reply KungFuLowKick October 28, 2011 People hate him because of the ******* buisness move he makes.Like cutting one of the best prospect 170 Bryan Foster because he has a brain hemmorage.THAT HE GOT FROM TRAINING FOR A UFC FIGHT!!!Also that he gives the boot to some fighters who aren’t on losing streaks and have more wins then lose and keeps telling you will stay there if you put on some great fights or win some fights. But right after that he keeps a guy like Bonner who has a bad record against not the best fighters at all but he gets to stay there.I ocul keep going about him but it’s pointless he is a proven money monger *******. Log in to Reply neovvl October 28, 2011 was that nagashima asking for a job in the ufc? gotta love anyone who knocks out aoki Log in to Reply Beast w/ 8 Limbs October 28, 2011 Of course the people that hate him rarely give him the respect and credit that him and the rest of Zuffa deserve. Is he a prick? Sure, and Art Davie is probably the nicest guy in the world. All I know is that I don’t want to go back to the days of cable descramblers, and unsanctioned fights at The San Marcos rec center. Most of us aren’t paying the man anyway. Log in to Reply glassjoe October 28, 2011 Love the beard on Nelson. It gets me hyped for Christmas. Can’t wait. Log in to Reply mmaok October 28, 2011 Suck a dick KungFuLowKickShithead. Dana is bringing that dying cancer patient to Toronto is Dec as his last wish. Also learn how to spell. You obviously know nothing about the UFC or you would know that Bonner has a job for life because of the Griffin fight. Gain some knowledge and learn how to spell. Log in to Reply ami October 28, 2011 Who’s that japanese guy that was asking to be in the ufc? Log in to Reply replacement October 28, 2011 God bless you man, not many CEO’s would be that close to their sports fans… Log in to Reply casyboy October 28, 2011 Yuichiro Nagashima, K1 stand out who beat aoki a few months back..[dream special event]… he also likes to cross dress anime style, neat dude for sure, I cant wait! Log in to Reply mcvojp01 October 28, 2011 i forget his name and its not listed on sherdog as an Aoki loss but he is a japanese boxer that knocked Aoki out cold a few months back in Dream i believe!!!!!! Log in to Reply mcvojp01 October 28, 2011 read up above his Nagashima!!!! Log in to Reply assman October 28, 2011 Sure gets his ass kissed a lot Log in to Reply ElMaestro October 28, 2011 Bruno, what was Dana referring to when he told Nelson “you took my adivce.”? Bruno: Dana told Roy to lose some weight and clean himself up. Log in to Reply MMAGiantSilva October 28, 2011 KungFuLowKick Bonner was maybe one of the worst examples you could think of. Maybe Gabriel Gonzaga getting cut or Dan Hardy keeping his job Bonner is a warrior everytime he goes in and has fought the who’s who including probably the best outing against Jon Jones anyone has ever had. Log in to Reply Dr steel October 28, 2011 Ok kungfoo check it if you become the boss of a company you have to make decisions that may upset pwepoles whittle feelwings. And Brian Foster would prolly never get clearance from any athletic comission to fight. Just sayin…What happens when you cannot preform your jpb??? They get somebody who can do your job to replace you.. Suks but its the way it goes Log in to Reply Dr steel October 28, 2011 Yeh and Bonner/Griffin have Life time tenure for what they did for the sport/ufc!!! EVERYBODY remembers that fight!! Log in to Reply dowthebow October 28, 2011 mmaok the “bonner” that you refer to is spelt Bonnar!! Gain some knowledge and learn how to spell… Log in to Reply op_of_faith October 28, 2011 Dana White runs a business where he has to put on exciting fights. He rarely cuts guys who are exciting…KFKL, not sure of the Foster story but I hope you didnt expect him to let a guy with a Brain Henorrage fight…? I dont always like what White says and does but I think its clear that he’s NOT Don King. Often times it seems that if you hear the whole story, he usually is either in, or close to the right side of things from his perspective…remember that HE does have skin in the game while we have opinions… Log in to Reply sanoli October 28, 2011 You’re dammn right mmaok, Bonnar and Griffin have a place in the ufc for life. I’m with the other guy above who said he didn’t want to go back to watching unsanctioned fights in some 2,000 seat crappy rec center. Pay respect to what Zuffa did to the sport. There might not be mma as we know it today if it were not for them. And then you complain about their business decisions….??? Dumbass. Log in to Reply gphilos October 28, 2011 Just as everybody, he has his good and his bad. I agree with a bit of what lowkick has to say in that the Dana “douche” mostly comes from his shameless promotion of the UFC while trying to discredit other organizations. Most businessmen would operate in a similar fashion. As a holistic fan I understood that most of the “elite” professional fighters were and are in the UFC but to discount everyone until they get into the UFC is total crap. The propaganda is completely understandable even if I do not agree and “business as usual” (means no more strikeforce eventually, no shit). What I really feel is that now that Dana has established the league in mainstream and the Fox deal, he can become more amicable whether that is who he is (chances are he is more naturally himself now than ever) or just simply now that the UFC can ease up a little on the propaganda machine. What I really want as a fan is to adjust some of the rules such as pro (read “advantage”) wresting rules such as no knees to the head on the ground. The promotion of the “American fighter” is natural because they wanted to first establish consistency in the US, the main money machine. We no longer need guys like Brock (he doesn’t necessarily hurt the sport because he clearly shows how you need to be well versed) to super promote the machine. So, some of the stupid wrester protection rules should be done away with although I highly doubt it because of the consistency part once again. Sorry for the ramble, tried to be as concise as I could while including the content. Log in to Reply steamer October 29, 2011 @KungFuLowKick Blaming every executive decision the UFC makes on Dana is idiotic to say the least. Your grammar sucks too. Log in to Reply BJJ7777 October 29, 2011 Dana White is THE man!!! A true fan of the sport, an excellent businessman and a kind and funny person. Dana and the Fertitas brought MMA into the mainstream and nobody can deny that. The Fox deal is a huge accomplishment for mixed martial arts and I don’t think anybody besides Dana could have made that happen.
