Dana says he was not as happy with UFC 100 as he had hoped. White also discussed Brock Lesnars behavior after the Frank Mir fight.

I thought the whole thing was pretty good, especially the jab at Bud Light. I mean yea, we see the logos and generic plugs here and there, but he brought it out and made fun of it, which was hilarious AND brought more recognition to it. Overall a good thing imo, with the exception of plugging for a competitor like Coors Light of course.
vana white’s hypocrisy knows no bounds; that B.S. show he created called TUF glamorizes such lewd and tasteless behavior. It’s a sad day in MMA when its so called spokes person or boss cares more about the sponsors than fights, matchmaking or fighting itself. At least under PrideFC quality fights and matchmaking were primordial; unlike this exclusively business & hype oriented ufc org.
Dana needs to settle down, Brock put on a great show and destroyed a top fighter. If Dana is so worried about the image of the UFC, maybe he should take a public speaking class.
the budlite thing was the funniest part 4 me. i hate corporate sponsors! maybe budlite does suck , maybe brock likes coors.. oh but you are suppose to lie.. respect to brock on that nugget!
thaddiusluster, if you dont like UFC then don’t watch. It’s that easy. That way you dont have to come on here and bitch like a little girl.
If Brock as in any other sport such as the NFL and went after the premier sponser like that he would find himself suspended and rightfully so. Sponser are the life blood of any franchise and annoying as it can be, if not for them the sport would not be in the position it is in. Getting Budlight as a sponser was huge and good for the sport.
yeah sounds like Dana can’t put up with this dude’s behavior.. maybe Lesnar is bipolar.. Get him out of there before he walks into the octagon with a gun.
“snap at any time” yea snap dana like a twig!
ahahahahahaha
the UFC is the best for a reason…without dana whites efforts mma would be nowhere near what it is today. the UFC is a business…
Getting corporate sponsors was a crucial step for the UFC going mainstream. Even if it was funny for Lesnar to take that jab, it was a brash, rookie thing to do. People forget, that Lesnar is young, and he’s a serious hot head. I’m going to go over to his house and kick his ass.
55 that’s certainly 1 perspective; ufc’s only success was in packaging and limiting MMA in a way so that the casual NON-discerning fan, particularly here in the U.S. could find it entertaining. That’s the only reason for the ridiculous restrictions of the “unified rules” and its overt emphasis on sexual content and lewd behavior on shows like TUF; totally designed for a reality show clientele. ufc in NO WAY has made MMA better; on the contrary they’ve completely denigrated and arrested its potential.
ufc is NOT MMA!
Dana is a douche. What a hypocrite.
@thaddiusluster- Go cry and write about it in your diary.
Bwahahahha, Lesnar and Bud Light never even talked? Bwahahahaha, makes it even better… And Mir deserved to get F’d in the A, he talked way too much trash and then got pulverized, and after the fight, talked even more trash, his new name will be… Frank “Mr. Excuses” Mir
dirty – Lesnar is young? I thought he was like 32?
I agree that going after a sponsor is a big no no… but one point should be made in Brock’s defence as to why this isn’t the same as an NFL player, or Nascar driver badmouthing a sponsor: This show was on PAY per view. Simply put, when I pay to watch something, I see no reason why I should have to endure advertising. Quite frankly, it’s insulting to your paying audience (which is why I boo any commercial at the movie theatre that is not a trailer). As I see it, when Brock went after Bud Light he was standing up for the paying fans (whether he knew it or not). He’s right to point out that Bud Light doesn’t pay him anything. WE pay him to fight. You want me to feel insulted for the sponsor? Put the show on free TV and let the sponsor pay for it and I’ll demand all the respect you could ever want. For now, though, Bud Light serves no greater purpose at a pay per view event than to pad Dana White’s wallet.
LOL! the ufc needs someone like brock. the new bigger and badder tito ortiz!! F*CK MIR!!!
Brock is defo a scary mother fucker!
