I usually have differing view points on some of dana’s main arguments but I think he’s spot on here. Floyd Mayweather needs to man up and face good competition (i.e. Pacqiou) and not these other guys he knows he can beat just to keep his spotless undefeated record. The guy is the most boring fighter in boxing and it’s because of guys like him that the sport is dead today. I was a huge boxing fan until the sport fell into another one of it’s slumps but thank god for MMA which brought the excitement back to the fighting community.

this is a stupid comment. his fights are amazing, just because there not slugfests he gets called boring. there isn’t a better boxer in the world with the skill, defence, ability that he has and his ring craft is incredible. he’s lake anderson silva, he makes the best boxers in the world look poor. to watch him box is amazing. i’d much rather watch him outbox fighters the way he does than get two substandard fighters with little skill just swinging for the fences.

I don’t like Dana much but I’m a bigger fan of him than I am of Floyd. Fighters like Floyd are hurting boxing because they approach to the sport with a business priority over everything else…it would be fine if they gave us fights the public wanted to see or even good fights but they don’t. Instead the promoters focus on ratings, market-ability and PPV Numbers.

In the long run, the business mentality of boxing has hurt the sport and now they are trying to recuperate.

Marquez is the shit! Floyd is the Tito of boxing but with actual skill. Yea he runs so does Machida. There really isnt any difference except you have to watch him evade for 12 rds. Boxing needs to throw in the towel. Ufc is having fights twice a month. Boxing is lucky to have 5 big fights the whole year. Its just not what it used to be. MMA is for the new generation. Sure all the old guys out there are going to stand up for boxing, but these are the same guys that hate technology. Ok everybody needs to look at Marques’s resume’ before they say he’s a nobody, he has more experience than mayweather, and fought pac twice, both times I felt Marquez was the victor, but he earned the draw 1st fight and a 1point loss 2nd fight.
