Dana misses the point with the rules/scoring, Mauro was on it, the criteria MUST be changed. The current rules and criteria are the reason fighters are fighting the way they do, and is biased. Sure the judges completely suck at most times, but it’s a combination of things. The criteria needs to be simplified and re-aligned to the spirit of actual FIGHTING. None of this exploitation of ‘control’ or the bias they have for ‘position’ by trying to land a takedown in the last 15 seconds to ‘steal’ a round. Fights should NEVER be scored on ‘points’ They should be judged ‘overall’ with effective damage and proximity/effort to FINISH being the number 1 and 2 priorities, unless those two are equal, should a judge look at other aspects of the fight. Scoring the fight OVERALL is one of the most important things missing from the system, as fighters try to take rounds away and clearly one 10-9 round is often not equal to another 10-9 round. It’s rubbish.

Good point….it is always the same refs no matter what state. Each state has several local refs available…UFC chooses the refs…period…Dana is full of s***.

I agree w/ dana, some of the refs have been out of control…even the mark munoz fight where Weidman landed almost 20 punches AFTER the guy was already out from the elbow strike and the ref stood there while munoz was leaking a crimson tide like “defend yourself”…i was screaming at the TV like “he’s out mother f**ker!! stop the fight”

Also I don’t get why these guys get to/want to fight Silva right away or that Dana is eluding to it. Bisping if wins over Stann, he should fight Weidman or Belcher (if Belcher wins). And then there’s Chael.
