DW is a power tripping fagg0t, the press conferences are never fun no matter who is there, it’s just a bunch of uneducated wannabe sports journalists asking stupid questions, annoying the fighters and throwing off their concentration. GSP feels the same way, the fights would be better if the fighters were allowed to focus instead. With the lead up shows showing the training everybody who is going to buy the ppv already knows about it without the stupid press conference

Okay let me make you look like an idiot for a second.

Footwork is what Randy Couture used to dominate Tim Sylvia in striking. Its what allowed BJ Penn to take out Diego Sanchez. Its even what GSP did to dominate(jab to death) Krotcheck.

Running is what Houston Alexander did against Bimbo Slice. Its what Clay Guida did to Gray Maynard and its what Carlos Condit did to Nick Diaz. When you TURN YOUR BACK AND RUN FROM the other guy, you are running. When you refuse to fight, you are running. Condit ran, and even admitted it in post fight interviews.

@Tempted you need to open your eyes a little and so do a few other people who call footwork running. Go learn something about striking and then come back to the table. We’ve seen a few guys run in the ufc and i don’t need to mention their names but Condit has never done so. The Condit/Diaz fight was a pretty average UFC fight on the whole, everyone is just crying because they feel like they earned some sort of slugfest. Get over yourselves already. THERE IS NO WAY THAT FIGHT IS IN THE BOTTOM 500 FIGHTS IN UFC HISTORY! IT JUST WASN’T A BAD FIGHT, PERIOD.

Do you guys realize what would have happened if Diaz did not control the ring? Do you know what the fight would have looked like if Diaz wasn’t the attacker? It would have been Clint Eastwood and Steven Segal in a half hour staring match. When one guy is running away and flailing like a little bitch and the other chasing him down and trying to make him fight its clear that there was no winner. The losers were everyone who paid to watch a fight and got a Tom and Jerry cartoon. Diaz being Tom and Condit being Jerry. The fight could have been great but it sucked because of Jerry’s gameplan and unwillingness to fight. If it were Pride and Condit turned tail and ran that many times Diaz would have won via DQ to timidity and all of Condit’s check would have went to him.

Diaz had more aggression in the Condit fight, but that’s pretty much it. Running into shots the whole fight doesn’t mean you’re winning, just like ring control doesn’t mean just walking forward. Ring control is owning the exchanges and the initiations of contact. Clearly Condit won on both damage and significant strikes. With that said, that was a BITCHY way to win. It’s like he stole Frankie Edgar’s “how o win a cheap fight gameplan.

Yes Diaz beat BJ, but winning 2 rounds to 1 against an undersized fat guy, doesn’t constitute an ass whooping.

Carlos came in and initiated half of the exchanges, and he backed up and countered when Diaz initiated his exchanges, that’s called winning a striking contest, which is what that fight was. When Ali did it he was called the greatest. Now if you want to complain, complain about Guida’s last fight, that was horrendous.

The first round was Penn beating the crap out of Diaz. The second was Diaz hammering Penn. The third showed a little more of the same but Penn did land some hard shots. In the end both fighters were beat up and swollen badly.

I remember it well. Do you remember the bitch slap? Or the 4 dozen times Condit turned his back and ran away? Or the Diaz combo that had Condit stumbling trying to find a way to run?
