Most of the time you’re right on the money, but your head is up your ass on this one. Log in to Reply jack November 17, 2013 wow dana can be such a biased pos lol Log in to Reply bigFishLittlepond November 17, 2013 LOL at Dana attempting to play Good Cop Bad Cop with the commission as the Bad Cop. Remember folks, in this scenario both cops are using a plan to benefit their side. They’re working as a team so never forget it. Log in to Reply darby November 17, 2013 what does he owe this company? hes been there for how many years and has done nothing but bring in top dollar for every fight. if the guy wants to retire let him. im not sure why dana is being a dick to GSP. just do an interim belt and go from there. Log in to Reply Doyle Brunson November 17, 2013 This is the one screw job that im happy for. In 20 years from now when we look back at GSP`s legacy all we will see is a W beside Jonny Hendricks name. Keep em going for the record books. I say this out of extreme Bias due to being a Canadian/GSP fan. There have been worse decisions, so this one I wont be so mad at. Log in to Reply dragoman November 17, 2013 gsp doesn’t who anyone anything, after all he’s done, he can do whatever he wants Log in to Reply DURP November 17, 2013 How many durps are gonna respond like ding dongs. Hendricks is the uncrowned champ! Like Dana said, GSP did nothing wrong, he does owe Hendricks a rematch though. Log in to Reply MMAgiantsilva November 17, 2013 I like Dana and I too think he slightly edged GSP. But for him to say GSP only won 1 round is just as bad as the Nevada State Commission. And just show’s he too is just as incompetent in judging the fights. Log in to Reply mangymongoose November 17, 2013 WTF, it was a close fight. Dana overreacting. I had GSP squeaking a decision, but it could have gone to Hendricks as well. Log in to Reply ken shiro November 17, 2013 Dana gave GSP only 1 round??? What a tool ..!!!!! Log in to Reply squashingslugs November 18, 2013 Dana quit acting like a bitch and shut the f—up! Why would you be so mad unless maybe you lost some money after the fight? Log in to Reply squashingslugs November 18, 2013 Dana quit acting like a bitch and shut the f—up! Why would you be so mad unless maybe you lost some money after the fight? If anything you owe him thanks for all the doughs he put in your bitch ass pocket! Log in to Reply KingDavis45 November 18, 2013 People mad a Dana. He’s picking fairness over money. GSP fans are going to be bias but a rematch should be done. I like GSP but he looked terrible. Log in to Reply #1 November 18, 2013 GSP doesn’t owe Dana shit. Dana is just scared GSP wont come back and make him more money. Who would be the draw if GSP left in welterweight? Rory’s out. Hendricks is really likeable but still wont be that big of a draw. They have little to no star quality left in that division. Dana is shitting his pants. Log in to Reply Freaklegion November 18, 2013 I thought Hendricks was robbed, then I watched the fight with the volume off and scored it GSP: 1,3,5 Hendricks: 2,4 GSP won all his rounds pretty closely, Hendricks won his rounds more handily. But it’s still 3 – 2. Log in to Reply @spacedread November 18, 2013 You guys are STILL bitchin on Dana??!!! This is the most honest and genuine reaction he could have possibly had. He said Hendrix won the fight, he’s not exactly marketable compared to GSP. he would have been proper corrupt if he tried to justify that decision. But you guys still come out and criticise the guy. What kind of freakin neckbeard-esque cratures are you exactly? Log in to Reply Joe Dog November 18, 2013 I’m guessin’ Dana’s tinnitus is full on. He seems irritated beyond reason. Why would he throw GSP under the bus without first giving him a chance to catch his breath? GSP just got his butt whipped. Bruised, battered and stunned by the judges decision, GSP said some sh*t about taking a break. So effing what. Post fight drivel is common. GSP will heal up and train and want to fight as soon as possible. Give him a “break” ! Dana should take a break. Log in to Reply coutura November 18, 2013 This is why rampage and other fighters left the UFC ..Dana is a fool he just cares about Fertittas balls gap did not do damage but he scored more points Log in to Reply vsmoove November 18, 2013 STFU, Dana! This was a close fight, regardless of what he thinks and nobody was robbed. The only person that robbed JH was JH for not being aggressive enough. He thought he could just stand there and throw bombs… no, most judges are going to award rounds to the fighter that lands the most strikes. Of ALL the decisions for Dana to go nuclear on, this was not the one… but, of course, controversy sells so he goes ape-shit so that the rematch will be huge. Log in to Reply Joe Dog November 18, 2013 Dana White should take a break. Log in to Reply jdogg November 18, 2013 I still can’t understand why people get so emotional and turn into little potty mouth children on the internet. You can make your point without erasing 15 years off your life. lol Log in to Reply Benny November 18, 2013 GSP won 3 rounds *******!Dana is a like a lil’ c-u-n-t when he doesn’t get what he wants, stupid brat, immediate rematch my arse!STFU Dana you two face turd,Im sick of your ass!!!!! Log in to Reply Guru November 18, 2013 I personally believed in Hendricks and knew if his cardio was there his heart alone would win that fight. That being said, they were two rounds a piece going into the fifth, and Hendricks didn’t finish like he wanted to be champion. THAT being said, I can definitely see how people would score that fight differently, as three of the rounds (if not all of them) were very close. GSP is a legend and a class act all around and I am pretty certain he will take this fight once he’s had a chance to reflect on it, but that DOES NOT mean he owes anyone a damn thing. For Dana white to say that is a little obtuse, and I’m not so sure his reaction wasn’t a blatant attempt to redirect the backlash. No matter who won that fight, Dana very well could have said the exact same speech. Let’s not forget he’s a promoter aka in the business of making money SELLING a PRODUCT to CONSUMERS. Once again his potty mouth fooled people into thinking he’s unintelligent, immature, and biased, but in reality, he’s a very strategic and deliberate business man. Log in to Reply MR. Creepy November 18, 2013 did u idiots even watch the fight…or even understand mma….gsp one 1 round the 3rd…that is it…hendricks was robbed….period…dana is right on….casino’s were about to lose a ton of money…that was bet on hendricks…any of u that say gsp won the fight are either blind or stuiped or both sorry Log in to Reply ETK November 18, 2013 Has Dana White praised and defended Nevada State Athletic Commission many times in the past ? And has Dana White insulted, lambasted, and belittled people for complaining against Nevada State Athletic Commission many times in the past ? I seem to recall Dan White has done that. Am I wrong ? And if he has, how now does he flip flop ? So Nevada State Athletic Commission is only correct or wrong when it is in accordance with Dana White’s opinion ? Log in to Reply Cro Cop Fan November 18, 2013 I’m with Dana on this one. Log in to Reply Joe Dog November 18, 2013 MR.Creepy has spoken…sort of. Log in to Reply cranberry November 18, 2013 Hendricks landed good punches, gsp couldn’t do shit to Hendricks. That’s what I remember seeing. Hendricks won! Log in to Reply marvelous mad madam mim November 18, 2013 freaklegion- depends on how you score a mma fight. sure you could go the boxing route, like you did, where you count jabs and takedowns and other attacks that connect. sure in this scenario gsp could of won some rounds, but if you look at the totality of the fight itself there is no doubt who won. this is like scoring all those pitter patter leg kicks condit did vs diaz and say “see condit won” Log in to Reply buttface1234 November 18, 2013 It doesnt matter on how much damage is done to GSP face. Its a numbers game, GSP landed more strikes, more takedowns. GSP should have won UD. Log in to Reply FailSonnen November 19, 2013 Dana always overreacts . This was before the press conference. He calmed down after GSP came back from the hospital, explained himself and stupid Hendricks telling the press he ‘paced himself at 70%’ Log in to Reply JigglyPuff November 19, 2013 Dana always acts like this when he loses big money on a bet. Log in to Reply Freaklegion November 19, 2013 @marvelous But it IS an MMA fight, with a scoring system. And even outside of that scoring system George landed more significant strikes in rounds 1,3,5, as well as more strikes (probably, haven’t checked the numbers). If this is a discussion about the judging SYSTEM, then I’m all on board with people thinking it needs to be changed. But for the most part this discussion is people thinking that Hendricks got robbed, even within the confines of the rules. He didn’t do anything significant except rounds 2 and 4, and yes those rounds were more significant than Georges. But that’s really not the discussion, it’s people thinking Big Rig should have won another round somewhere, and I personally don’t see where he should be given another round, especially against a defending champ. Log in to Reply Tapoutretardfan November 19, 2013 Yo mother****er , bitch ass Dana what **** ****, ******* bitch ass punk, stupid ass **** ****er arsehole licker. ……..man I gotta stop reading this site, the stupidity is addictive. Log in to Reply Bahamaboy November 20, 2013 I’m a big fan of Dana’s straight-talking and he has built a highly successful career on it. But the cracks show when he contradicts himself so blatantly and without explanation. He always makes the point that he won’t ever mess with a guy who is considering retirement because the Octagon is not a place in which you should ever have doubts. Umm…is it just me or is that the complete opposite of what he is saying in that interview? Anyone got an explanation? Also I don’t think GSP owes anyone anything. He has been a great champ, an ambassador for the sport and he knows that Hendricks is a beast plus he didn’t judge the fight. Does he really have to take another beating just to make it fair on Hendricks? That’s a ridiculous suggestion. Finally, Helwani needs to sort himself out. He is sharp enough to know all of the above but is letting ambition (ie. sucking up to Dana) get ahead of his journalistic integrity. Log in to Reply baller November 20, 2013 Stop crying like a lil biachh Dana. It was a close fight that cud have gone either way. I hv seen worse plus I actually thought Gsp won.
