Dana White Radio Interveiw First Comment About Rampage

Audio interview from the Mark and Brian show in LA. The show is edited but we get to hear the show fall apart and they even call Dana White “Jeff”.

Mark and Brian ask for random callers and decide that White should ask the callers trivia questions. White asked who the UFC light heavyweight and lightweight champions were. Three callers drew a blank and another hung up. Mark & Brian were so flustered and embarrassed that they closed the interview by promoting this weekend’s “Ultimate Fighting Challenge 86″

“It’s not really about a fine,” said White. “At the end of the day, we care about these guys. A lot of these guys are our friends. I want to find out what’s wrong with Rampage and get him taken care of.”

are you serious? these people are calling and they don’t know a thing about MMA. I am truly sorry for Rampage. I’ve never heard or seen anything that makes me think of him as anything less than a good person. I hope this all works out for him. If Guillard and Rudiger can get another shot then I think rampage should have every right too. I trust that Dana will do the right thing and that this will all work out.
Congrats to Forest for whoopin his ass though. He earned that belt. Shame Silva is gonna come take it away from him…lol

Rampage admitted he was depressed after his loss. He probably was drunk when all this happened. Everyone is human.

Most of us would be tempted to have one too many if we fought in a championship fight, landed more blows (in the 3rd and 4th rounds), landed harder blows, and had the judges steal the decision from us… some of them even taking the first round away from us (the round in which we almost knocked our opponent out, twice, and ground and pounded him).

All that being said… Rampage should’ve just called a taxi. Life is not fair. People fix fights, people rob, people steal. There is never an excuse to drive drunk or flee from an accident. I love Rampage, but I hope he does some relatively serious jail time for this and gets his ass fined off. Innocent people *die* when folks drive like this. There is never an excuse. He needs to be taught a serious lesson, and all of those who look up to him and are following his story need to learn that lesson as well.

do they have a therapist? I think UFC needs a therapist on board…this whole macho manly sport of beating eachothers heads in get to some of the fighters. The training, the rules, the refs. It gets to be a lot, too much for some people. I think that jackson def needs to get some help as well as some jail time. He shouldnt fight for a while until he gets his shit together, speaking from a therapists point of view
