I think this was a tune up fight for shogun. It seemed liked he was working on some of the weaker parts of his game. More take downs and g/p. Shogun should take it easy he’s been in a bunch of tough fights. Then let the title fight come to him. Plus shogun vs Vera was stylistically a tougher fight oppose to machida vs bader. Everybody saw that ko coming. Shogun passed on Glover Teixeira bc nobody knows who he is except joe rogan.

caxias all the more reason why you(a Brazilian) should know that it’s thanks to this lame brand of watered down MMA promulgated here in the States by ufc, unified rules, Vana white, marc RATner & co. That Shogun Rua’s arsenal has been completely deemed illegal. Even this very fight with Vera could of ended early in Shogun’s favor on several occasions had it been in Japan due to 4point attacks & stomps.

Vana white & all you fools are a bunch of idiots! white criticizes Rua but on the other hand he knows damn well it’s precisely the type of fight he f****** needed for his little deal with fox(free on TV).

You all think the same old Machida evasive performance concluded with a predictable KO is what kept the viewers intrigued? Hell NO! what they wanted & got was a truly exciting back-n-forth fight between Rua & Vera; that’s what kept them tuned in.

F*** ufc & the unified rules for castrating real MMA/ValeTudo!

PrideFC has been the epitome of MMA thus far!
a)10min. 1st rd.
b)Ring(as opposed to over-sized octagon that only promotes running & back-peddling)
c)ANY kick or punch should be legal(except groin or rabbit obviously)whether standing or on ground! 4point attacks, stomps etc.
d)elbows while standing ONLY(on the ground, seldom produce KO’s just maim & cut)
e)eliminate the inapplicable to MMA! borrowed from boxing bullshit 10point must system nonsense!
f)judge fight in its entirety.

Ya’ll forgettin about Gustafson. he might have what it takes to beat Jon Jones. Machida looked Anderson Silva -like even though Bader kinda just stood there. And Jones owned Shogun so bad that I dont want that rematch

I wonder how the fact of Machida being ckoked out that way by JJ resonated in the world of karate and among his family.

Glad to hear lyoto is hungry to another fight with JJ.

As for Shogun, to beat JJ he needs to be back at his Pride shape and stop accepting taking so may hist during his fights, this extra shots he take may give him a shorter career as a top fighter.

shogun is done to much knee injury,last 3 fight no legs kick what so ever
