PERFECT! EA Sports is the finest sports game maker and online service provider.

THQ was garbage, online play so wretched and choppy, people would quit right before the judge would raise your hand to avoid the loss EA SPORTS controls for that type of cheating by giving the quitter the loss.

Those of you turned off by early UFC games can know feel good about spending $60 on a game.

as every mma game in the past has sucked i will wait a while and rent any mma game first before buying it. UFC 3 as much as i wanted to like it the career mode was garbage. Hopefully EA can make improvements there, we’ll see…

Mixed feelings about this one.
I personally LOVE THQ’s current UFC 3 game…it’s pretty much all I play.
I was not a fan of EA’s MMA game…just not my cup of tea. Much like how I prefer Tekken to Street Fighter.
EA as a company, however, is as elite as it gets. Madden and the NCAA franchises are financial juggernauts for the company. Fight Night is the best boxing game out there, bar none.
Hope the gameplay gets a complete re-haul from MMA still. heheheheh♠

@Oswald Cobblepott, have you ever heard of NFL 2K5? Ok well if you havent it was a game that threatened the base of EA Sports which was Madded Football and might I add is the worst gameplay ever! The company that started all these 2K games was selling 2K5 at $19.99 a piece and oh my this had EA scared because the game play surpassed anything they have ever done and even up til now they still cant touch the simulation of that game! So EA is a monopoly because they bought all the rights out of the NFL and thats why you dont see anymore NFL Games from other providers! You dont know s*** and the only games I loved from EA were the hockey ones! So can you imagine how this company would of been on the map and no doubt UFC would of done a deal with the true premire game makers!

The UFC games were all flawed in some way. They had a lot of good stuff in them, but their online was just horrible. Mainly because THQ would use 3rd party Gamespy.

EA MMA, on the other hand, used their own servers and had a strategy based system of fighting. With the stamina, submissions (which THQ stole their submission… “thing”), going to finally be a good game online. Just funny how all the hate with Dana towards EA went away.

Dana makes me lol. A few years ago he banned any fighter that appeared in EA’s game, and now he is licking EA’s anus like there is no tomorrow.

Anyone that thinks the THQ UFC games were good need to give their heads a shake. It has been the exact same technology and motion capturing since that Pride game they put out for PlayStation 2. Talk about companies rehashing the exact same game for years! At least EA makes significant improvements to their games as they go along.

With that said, i don’t think there is one legitimately all around good MMA game out yet. However, with the financial backing of the UFC and the world class development teams EA has, this new one could be the first.
