What if Burkman did not release the choke immediately. how long would it have takin mazzagatti to realize he was out? I would hope he would have switched positions if it did not end so fast cause from where he was standing it would have been hard for him to tell Log in to Reply Basher16 June 22, 2013 Dana really hates that guy! Log in to Reply marvelous mad madam mim June 22, 2013 @inanebi but burkman did release the choke derp de derp de derple de durp once again dana an overreactive emotional idiot. want to know if you’re dealing with an emotional idiot? bring up the holocaust and watch their emotions take over the argument/debate. emotional attachment to any given subject will create bias and not allow said person to think rationally Log in to Reply iWay June 22, 2013 was there ever some kind of issue/disagreement betweem Dana White and Big John? Log in to Reply jonnyx June 22, 2013 i have the same opinion as big john, it wasn’t that bad, the fighter will def know before the ref if a guy is out, and thats what happened. we can’t live on what if’s…what if he didn’t let go, what if mazzagatti was distracted by a pigeon flying by…what if…etc. people were overreacting. mazzagatti was on the wrong side for sure, and that was his mistake, nobody’s perfect. refs are human. Log in to Reply MuffDiggler June 22, 2013 I’m sure Mazzagatti thought what everyone else was thinking, that Burkman wasn’t going to choke out fitch. I’m not saying that’s justification, but it probably factored into his decision to let it happen. Log in to Reply Ben June 22, 2013 Steve is the definition on MORON!!! even waving his hands in Fitch’s face after the whole entire world already knew he was out,get a clue you IDIOT!!! Log in to Reply ^^^^ June 22, 2013 You guys must be stupid if you defend Mazzagatti in any way. Get a clue because he sucks. This is his profession and he does a terrible job and what people are forgetting is, Dana isn’t OVERREACTING from ONE mistake. This guy is consistently screwing up and so are the rest of the refs. Log in to Reply str8jkt June 22, 2013 @ iWay, yes there was. you could look it up and find interviews with big John Log in to Reply hot trash June 22, 2013 Havent forgotten Hammill vs Jones.. Mazagatti sucks Log in to Reply RickJames June 22, 2013 Dana was doing his usual overreacting/exagerating thing. Steve reacted as good as humanly possible in that crazy situation. Totally agree with muffdiggler… Okay, so what if Steve stopped it and Fitch wasn’t out? Catch 22 Log in to Reply karson June 22, 2013 Friends say what you want. There is NO ONE with a better history of perfect fight stoppages in the game then McCarthy. Log in to Reply karson June 22, 2013 Once again fans are faced with a decision. follow truth about MMA= what Mcarthy says. or suckle at the power TiT= what Dana says for money. Log in to Reply bigbob June 22, 2013 mazzaggati is missing the point hes there so the fighters can rely on him and not the other way around Log in to Reply klutch June 23, 2013 I agree that Mazzagatti is the worst ref out there. He either stop the fights way to early or he lets someone take a beating and stops it way to late. No as far as this clip goes, meh didn’t look that bad. Sure Fitch’s head bounces off the mat, but I can’t imagine that that hit was harder than any he took to the face that night. Log in to Reply Applesauce June 23, 2013 i think most people are upset because the fighter stopped the fight. think of it this way, if he had held onto that choke for another second and given the ref the opportunity to stop it nobody would’ve given a shit. its just principle, in this instance burkman happened to be a pro and it made mazzagatti look bad. Dana just has to complain because hes a diva on a high horse Log in to Reply mmraider81 June 24, 2013 WOW!!!!!! I cant believe what I heard from Big John, so I guess we are relying on the fighters to do the right thing. This segment seemed like they’re campaigning for Mazzagatti not to lose his job or something. This was an odd interview. Dana is right about Steve being the worst ref in MMA and he will get someone hurt. Log in to Reply Leave a Reply Cancel replyYou must be logged in to post a comment.
