I love Dan as a fighter but he’s proved time and time again he’s just not on that level. He has the heart of a true warrior but too many holes in his game. In my opinion he’s just not strong enough for many of these guys.

Damn Hornbuckle almost has Jones’ reach in WW.When that guy gets a bit more comfortable and experienced with his striking he will be extremly dangerous.Santos has really good striking though so Hornbuckle couldn’t really use his reach.
Those headkicks and leg kicks were really good so it really slowed down alot.

Back to what matters: amazing to see Santos trying to finish the fight even knowing he won all rounds. It’s just a different mentality in Bellator. These guys know that this is their best shot. If they look good and win, their lives might change forever. There is no holding back.

Are you serious??Reach doesnt mean s***??Tell that to any pro boxer,kickboxer and they will laugh at you.Dan couldnt use his rach because he’s too unexperinced compared to Santos’s stand-up.If reach doesnt mean s*** then why does eery fighter who fights Semmy Shcilt or the Klitshckos,they talk about how they trained to get past their reach…They wouldn’t mind about that if really reach didn’t meaned s***.But in reality reach is one of the best natural advantage you can have….

Those reach stats cannot be true, no way Dan has a 7’0″ wing span. No way in hell he had over a foot of reach on Santos in this fight, I’d spot him 4-5 inches tops.
