If they can’t give Fitch-Penn round 3 a 10-8, why give Hendo-Rua 10-8. Rua was dominat but did not deliver enough damage. Fitch delivered more dmage to Penn.

I definitely don’t call that epic. The last two rounds were like two drunk men fighting, both too drunk to do any damage. An embarassment to sports.

Bad decision. Rua won the fight. He fought back against Henderson’s big hits in the 1st and 2nd rounds and Henderson was non-existent after the 3rd round. Bad decision.

I personally thought the match was a draw. It is true that Hendo won the first three rounds, but I don’t think that you can credit any of those rounds as a 10-8 round. His most dominant was the third round but even then Rua tried to pull off a submission. That meant Rua had some offense. Rua, on the other hand, had the fifth round as 10-8 decisively. Maybe the judges were just too hesitant to pull out the 10-8 round just like what they did with Penn and Fitch. If you look at it, Penn won the first 2 rounds and Fitch dominated the last. Rua dominated Hendo in the same way, regardless of the fact that both men were tired. I believe they’re going to make this happen again. It all depends on how the rest of the fighters in the division stack up. A rematch between Rua and Rampage may be perfect and Hendo needs a shot at another top-tier light heavyweight. Give him Rashad and that would determine the top contender after the Machida-Jones fight. Nevertheless, I believe this was one of the best cards top to bottom in a long time. Props to two legends of the sport!

I can’t see how anyone would score the fifth round 10-8. There’s no doubt that Shogun was winning handily, but Dan was simply exhausted. Even with nothing left in the tank, he didn’t seem to sustain any damage from the Shogun’s weak ground and pound. Compare that to the damaging barrage of hits from Hendo throughout most of the fight. Hell, he was tagging Shogun with powerful shots up until half way through the fourth. Then he had nothing left, and he looked like he was in serious trouble in the second half. After that it was a fight of the zombies. I really am amazed at the heart of both fighters, but round five was nothing but a 10-9 round, and Henderson definitely won.

Great fight and another dismal showing of the judging system. I guess since the last round was 10-9 according to the moron judges, that essentially implies that Hendo did 90% as well as Shogun did on that round. Yeah right…we live in a world replete with morons full of moronic ways of doing things.

C’mon guys, Hendo won the fight hands down since the first 3 rounds were definitely his. The confusion comes due to Shogun ended up the fight in a better shape winning the last 2, while Hendo gassed dramatically and was on the verge of getting finished, but overall he won for sure.
