Wilkes surprised me for being heads above Johnson in this one, he is an amazing BJJ tactician; He deserved to win, he evolved a whole level from the time he was on the show.

Seriously, this means absolutely nothing for the U.S. or the U.K. MMA. It only means that Bisping go a better group of fighters.
The problem with TUF is that Dana always bring some douche bags to the house to creat conflict like the Browns. This time, the American team looked more like a bunch of wannabes actors than fighters, while the Brits were there to get the job done. If they did it again it could be the opposite; nothing to it.
Now, Damarques is a douche and was completely owned by Wilks.
Whoever says Wilks is not good, wasn’t paying attention. All his punches and kicks were deadly accurate (Damarques didn’t stand a chance) and his ground game was absolutely flawless. He kept his cool during the whole fight and did everything technically perfect accordingly to his game plan. I’m not talking about a future champion, but the guy has a great future in the UFC.

I was under the impression the U.S team would put up more of a fight, especially after all the talk done by americans on this site, but, i guess they just aren’t at the same level when it comes to striking as most Brits, hopefully Bisping can start training some Americans to bring them back up to our level, kinda felt sorry for the U.S team seeings as how most of their fans thought they might at least make a good showing for U.S.A, guess not. Hmmm, what a convenient coincidence that all of the winners of this season were brits when the UFC is trying to expand into the european market though. Well Jesus, lucky me. I didn’t know so many fucking SpikeTV, Zuffa, and UFC executives trolled this website. After all you seem to know EXACTLY how the house rosters were compiled and manipulated, and what marketing strategies were used, but only insofar as it supports shit-talking Britain and defending a bitter , immature, poorly-coached and largely talentless U.S. “team.”

I am an American, and one who likes America. That having been said, this shit is ridiculous; the U.K. are some of our closest allies in the world, and in this show, they absolutely beat the shit out of us. That’s how it happens sometimes, and I don’t want to hear any “The U.S. is a tough, hard-nosed warrior country and the U.K. is all dainty prigs drinking tea” bullshit to try to explain away our complete lack of, for lack of a better term, MANNERS in defeat or victory. Yeah, they drink tea, and they say “bin” instead of “garbage.” Nevermind that the U.K. is in its own right just as tough a country who has won its share of battles and wars.

On this show, they took every rage-filled, emotional, sloppy “1-punch K.O.” wannabe punch you had to throw, and then THEY KNEED ALL YOUR FUCKING TEETH OUT (maybe Lester isn’t the fairest of targets, but he’s easily the most stereotypical U.S. fighter). And the Brits didn’t blame their housemates when they lost, or engage in passive-aggressive insults or invent injuries and act like babies; they were good-natured gentlemen, and when they got into the ring, it was time to go to work.

Personally, I was glad to see it; I wanted to like the U.S. team, but was quite disappointed to find nearly every one of them incredibly attention-seeking and irritating. Just a bunch of guys squaring their jaws and dropping provocative quotes for the interviews. I think the reality check could do some good, but only if the excuses stop. Well done to James Wilks, glad to see Damarques with his foot in his mouth.
