I agree, these judo champs are thrown to the wolves in Japan (Nastula, Dong). Jung seems like a solid fighter and hopefully will be like the Donger and turn his career around

Yeah, why didn’t they give him an easier first few fights. Throwing him to the sharks for his first few fights is very discouraging. He might even quit as a fighter because of it.

well, they are Japanese and he’s is a Korean. Maybe that’s why?
Anyway nice fight of both.

He was the 2000 Sydney Olympic judo silver medalist. In Japan credentials like that go a long way so even if he never fought mma in his life they tend to think of him as a former champion caliber fighter already.
