Cung Le Vs Shonie Carter Fight Video Sanshou IKF

On 15 December 2001 Cung Le fought Shonie Carter in San Jose, CA for the IKF Pro Light-Heavyweight Sanshou World Title.

Sanshou (free hand) is a modern Chinese hand to hand combat, self-defense system, and combat sport. Not seen as an independent style, it is rather considered just one of the components of Chinese martial arts and is normally taught alongside other wushu.

Hey RHETRO, so which one is the amateur? Is it undefeated Cung Le, or was it Shonie Carter, who has fought big name fighters like Pat Miletich, Nate Marquart, Chris Lytle, Karo Parysyan, Matt Serra, Nate Quarry, Jon Fitch, Jason MacDonald, Marcus Davis, and about fifty other sanctioned fights? And just to clarify, I never said you should catch a beat down by anybody. I stated that you should train in MMA and see how much work is really involved before you go around criticizing others and calling professional fighters amateurs. Sorry if you got offended, but it’s “spectators” like you that give the sport a bad name.

The spectators don’t give the sport a bad name, they’re the reason it is a legit sport and not the brutal spectacle it once was. It’s you fuckin knuckleheads that get off on talking shit to ppl who aren’t even fighters that disgust me. I’ve seen some tough guys drop the name of a gym trying to intimidate ppl who’s comment they didn’t care for. If you’re a true warrior you legitimize yourself in battle. Keep it in the cage boys. Nothing wrong with a heated conversation but when you 1up someone by dropping names or claiming to be a fighter you just look like an ass.

Did someone say Silva vs. Le? I don’t think Le is ready for an MMA fight that’s even in Silva’s league. Le, although a great sanshou fighter would be ill equipped to fight Silva in an MMA match. Besides lack of MMA experience, Le’s also getting up there in age.
