I thought Hioki was kind of impressive. Guida’s got good top-control as a wrestler, but failed to ever put Hioki in danger. Hioki was really creative from the guard though… even if nothing quite worked out… Plus, he landed 2 good headkicks n far more strikes overall.

F*** this scoring system. F*** these judges. Do no damage, have no threats of finishing, defend the whole time, do basically nothing but get a takedown and run down the clock “on top”, staying “busy” to win. f****** guida.
Absolute joke. Any system with ANY common sense knew Hioki deserved to win that fight. Unbelievable.
Talented fighters might as well start from scratch and just wrestle. Dont bother fighting on the ground, just wrestle, stay conservative, don’t bother finishing, don’t bother damaging, just hold on tight as long as some idiot judge thinks you have the “potential” of doing more damage becuase of the ‘dominant position’ you’re in.

F*** Guida.I lost every ounce of respect I had for him in the Pettis fight.And the post fight conference after the Maynard fight made me litteraly hate him.After the Maynard fight he said he got robbed and he thought he fought well and he wasn’t boring.Just with that mentality he should get kicked out of the ÙFC.Now that crap…Kick him out already you know he doesn’t want to fight,he only wants to win enough points to be judged a winner.F*** the Geico caveman.

Now everyone’s on board with me, been sayin this for YEARS: Clay Guida sucks.
The UFC shouldn’t cut him, though. They need to put him in there with a Chad Mendes or KZ, someone who will with out a doubt beat the brakes off of him.

Clay guida was never good. Only idiots with a low mma IQ ever thought he was good or “entertaining,” whatever that means. Just because he used to run at his opponents throwing punches with his face exposed doesn’t mean he’s “entertaining.” Just sorry!!!

Fights should be about damage and effectiveness. Guida did nothing the whole fight. Guida clearly lost Round 1. The judge who scored it 30-27 Guida should be fired. Rounds 2 and 3 were at best a draw for Guida because he did nothing. Take a look at Fightmetrics. Guida got outstruck every round. I could see the fight being scored anywhere from 30-27 Hioki to 30-29 Hioki.

Hioki was the more effective fighter. Takedowns without damage or submission attempts are basically stalling tactics. Stalling isnt rewarded in any fight format but the ufc for some reason…

I still like Guida. His fight with Sanchez was really entertaining. As he progresses in his skillset, of course he’s going to utilize new tools and strategies. Styles make fights

Honestly, it was Hioki’s fault. He chose to attack from guard instead of trying to get back up and continue dominating the striking department.
Guida is a master at stopping submissions. he’s NEVER been submitted from the bottom. so why waste your time there when u know he sucks at striking?!?

I like guida. I’m kinda glad he got the shitty decision. cause it was a sh*tty decision. I like guida cause he is a cool person n i like his drive and personality. i even like to see his freakin wild hair bounce around, i admit it. most guys i couldn’t stand but i like guida.

Glad Guida Won…Very Tactical Fight.Hioki took a risk throwing one of his hail marys and missed and got thrown down.That was after the first round.Guida,being smart as he is,Threw hioki down on the ground and worked to find weak spots.Guida clearly won but it was a split decision 30-28 I read.
