Clay Guida Vs. Gray Maynard Fight Video UFC on Fox 4 Highlight.
I didn’t know that super-back-peddling was a power of Captain Caveman’s… ![]()
Gamplan was not quite as effective as when Carlos pulled it off.
Good job by the judges.♠
Uncle Dana doesn’t like back-peddling…i need you to do better run away Clay….yes, that’s your new nick name…
Fight wasnt good. Both fighters looked like s***. Maynard has always been a boring ass fighter. Guida used the wrong plan but at the same time he he couldnt exchange in the pocket.
Carlos paper champ
That was VERY different from what Condit did. One thing is the hit and run that Machida uses to pick his opponents apart and even KO them from time to time. Guida used the dance and prance tactic. Guida didn’t throw anything or try any attacks at all. As much as I don’t like Maynard, I am glad that 2 judges could see that. This was just shameful and fighter known for his fighting spirit like Guida should be ashamed by this performance. You can’t win a fight if you don’t attack.
Clay and Condit on the podium for Gold and Silver in the 25 minute track star event.
Guidette peddled his bike faster than Lance Armstrong on PED’S!!! Rumor has it that he had his ugly twin sister fight for him.
did anyone see gray give his hat to a fan? i was pretty impressed by his attention to the ringside fans!
also looked like a little exchange of words between cllay and gray
DANCE MIX 90-CLAY , baby!
Maynard is a bigger fighter, he’d be stupid to stand there and eat much more powerful punches, to trade with his.. certainly dangerous enough to me punches.. but to maynard.. I don’t know.. if he had just sat in the pocket, he’d have brain damage.. I don’t fight, but If I were to, maybe I’d be boring, but I’d stay as uninjured as possible.. The movement was entertaining to me.. I do feel, as a fighter having your salary paid by the fans though.. you should perhaps engage a little more than that.
kulcha is right…
Condit does it and he’s a hero
Worst fight in the history of mma. Running man tried a mean mug at the stair down and that was it . To bad it wasn’t a back pedeling race.
I enjoyed it…When Maynard dropped his hands and ate 3 punches on the jaw…holy s***.
Another marathon runner from the Jackson Camp…. first Condit, now this homo….. pathetic! If you dont wanna fight, find another f*in job!!! If you wanna be “smart” go read a f*in book!!! So glad Maynard got the fight, and too bad Nick got screwed in the same scenario.
Maybe his girly haircut made him act like a bitch and not want to fight…
Blanka shoulda used his electro shock counter once he backed away
lol, starts at round 3
i felt guida won the fight 48-47. Im sorry but for years ive watched ufc fights where tito ortiz literally lays on guys for 15 minutes and doesnt do anything win fights. Also now with gsp and your getting more of these counter strikers with lyota machida. Heres my problem yes guida was running at times but what did gray do do change it? Just like the diaz condit fight, diaz and gray waited for the other guy to come to them. Seriously, stalk the other guy and go get him. You didnt see dan henderson cry when all micheal bisping does is hit and run. No he went after him and went for blood. This is competetion fighting so you should train for all circumstances. Gray wanted to stand there and brawl and complains about what guida didnt do instead of what he was doing.
I saw Maynard wrapped his left thumb in a photo.I think that’s cheating.Just alot easier to eye poke your opponents.
Guida won, did more damage, almost dropped with with high kick combo in the fourth…MMA biz from top to bottom lacks intelligence judges to figureheads it is sad…oh dont worry boxing you are run by uneducated fools too.
I gotta say that I think Guida won the fight. Fanboys that don’t know MMA think judges only score fights on effective striking, grappling and octagon control. But there is a lot more to it including effective defense which includes avoiding punishment and countering shots. That’s what Guida did, that’s what Condit did and like it or not that’s part of the scoring system. I agree it was a pretty boring fight, and the Guida I have come to love tried to implement a different game plan that fight. We will see what happens in his next fight.
@BoomBoom-right on.
I was pulling for Maynard on this one but I didn’t expect Guida to use a mostly defensive tactic…he’s always been the stand and trade guy. Maynard, however, is INSANELY STRONG. Maybe that’s why he was avoiding contact.
…BUT I do think Maynard won that fight unanimously.
Half you guys sound like the typical American that boos when they are not just dropping bombs on each other. There is strategy in fighting come on people. Quit running your mouths and enjoy what these men do. It’s easy to sit back and talk sh**.
