I think dos caras is really Eddie “the manic hispanic” Sanchez with a mask. In all reality mexico doesnt even pay attention to cinco de mayo, we as Mexican Americans or should I say Americans period, take this date more into consideration because of all the beer ads, its not even Mexican independence day thats sep 16, (why is it wrong to say Mexican American but perfectly fine to say your Italian, Irish, or African american?) so its literally a Mexican American celebration day, that beeing said not only do i want to see Huerta I also want to see Nick and Nate Diaz, Diego Sanchez, Cain velasquez, joey villasenor,I even want to see videos of Tito.

Theleftoneislower,Smack, what the other guys are talking about is what other guys in here are refering to is called “Cultural Roots” and Roger Huerta(Take note of the Spanish last name proving that he is of Mexican/Hispanic descent) has Mexican roots.
His blood line is Mexican, meaning that his parents/family are immigrants from Mexico, so even if he was born in America and have an “American” accent he has Mexican roots and most likely brought up in a Mexican up bringing and able to speak fluent Spanish making him Mexican-American, which doesn’t have anything to do with an official dual citizenship on any paper or document under any law. Remember that the first real Americans were the Native Indians, ALL other Americans are all descendents of Immigrants, ALL Americans has somebody from their family that immigrated to America a long time ago, whether it be from 1 or 2 or 20 generations back, and thats why we are here including you guys Theleftoneislower & Smack.

First Off, how did this turn into a debate on if Roger Huerta is Mexican….Second, He is not mexican,becuase mexicans are citizens of mexico, he is an american citizen, so he is American…..but black americans are called african americans because of their descent from Africa,So if his ancestors were from mexico he could be called a mexican american,but im not sure if his heritage is from mexico or spain or where, so i believe he could be called a latino and an American. The simple fact is many people, perhaps erroneously call latinos mexicans, which is what it seems War has done,but we do it to other races as well,haha native americans are still called indians by many, even though they or their relatives never lived in India

but either way he can be an American and still be proud to be Mexican. Being proud of your cultural heritage doesn’t mean that you are anti-American.

But i do agree that the UFC uses him as their poster boy to appeal to the Chicano target audience that they’d like to steer away from boxing
