I can’t believe Overeem was gassed that fast, I was a little disappointed when I first saw this fight.

Bruceaz, credit is due when you take advantage of what is given to you. But Chuck’s hits were not contested whatsoever in the end of the fight. Overeem licked those straights. Anybody can get KO’d when they don’t protect-like what you just saw. For the record, most MMA fighters have powerful right hands. If you know how to throw it, it doesn’t take much power to knock somebody out. Liddell is overrated, and I’m not saying he’s a bad fighter…I think we all know that.

those were the days, when ufc came to pride.. id love to see more of mixed BRANDS promotional fights(ufc vs dream or elitexc etc)chuck liddell is one of my fav fighters. talk about hands of stone.. obviously i dont know him personally but on camera he seems a nice cool guy. ive never seen him bad mouth his opponent, well apart from tito, cos that guy is all hype and a boring fighter. chuck doesnt really use his legs much though in his fights, even till today, well maybe his hands more than made up for that.

id love to see him go up in the hweight division and somehow take on my number one fighter FEDOR EMELIANENKO since Mirko Crocop has gone to Dream and that matchup didnt materialise. *sigh* that would be an awesome spectacle LIDDELL VS EMELIANENKO. ive seen this video before but thanks anyway mmatko.com. this site is fuckin awesome!

That’s my boy. Baboon you always talkin that shit bout how hard you hit. I’ve made it a point not to be an “internet fighter” but i’ll put it like this: I’ve knocked many men out in my time and i’m gonna agree with Satan on this one, you sound like one of those “my dad’s tougher than your dad” folk. Chuck was gettin tagged up. But Heart Chin Natural Power=KO. Man i miss these days. I would love to get in touch with the production manager for PrideFC. They really knew how to put on a show. This really was the good ol days. Chuck later went on to lose to Rampage in this tourney (and not nearly as bad as he did in UFC), but none the less, THAT’S MY BOY!!!! FUCKIN A!!!! Overeem has since trained under Mr. Fedor Emelianenko and has improved greatly, i wouldn’t mind seeing a rematch honestly, (though training can’t make up for lack of chin), would be worth watching.
