Chris Weidman Thinks He Is A Stylistic Nightmare For Anderson Silva

This is the reason why some people, and me at times, can’t stand Ariel! He plays the instigator. Whether it’s between fighters or in this case, and many others, when it’s about the promotion. It’s called sensationalistic journalism and it is the absolute opposite of what it is that he should be doing. Which is to report. Don’t put words into the mouths of others and stop trying to instigate. A lot of people found his sensei Seagal stuff, including the sarcastic interview with Cung Le, offensive. I actually realized it was a joke and thought it was funny at the time, but I realize now that even that was not appropriate. The truth is, if he was doing his job, he would interview the pathetic Seagal for real, asking him why is he trying to ride Silva’s coattails when it is clear that he has done nothing for the sport, and other direct questions that would have increased Ariel’s stock in everyone’s eyes and more importantly in his field. Instead he became a 12 year old smart ass and decided to have a little fun at the expense of an old pathetic man, lowering himself to his level. Ariel is in the forefront of this sport’s journalism and he should stop and think before he continues to go down this road. He either has the chance to be the number one guy even when the mainstream media gets in on the action full time and get on on some real shows and stop being UFC’s outsource or remain and become another mouth piece who sits at a desk and calls themselves an expert.

An instigator? I love it, that’s why his interviews are exciting and worth listening to because it makes fighter tell their real feelings rather than take the humble route. Anyways, Weidman has all the skills to beat silva. First, he’s young, has the same reach and height as Silva. His stand up is pretty good, that elbow itself showed me his skills. He has good wrestling and can take Silva down and do a better job than Chael with submissions and ground and pound.

Boop; who are you to tell the guy what he should or shouldn’t be doing? He seems pretty successful so why exactly should he listen to you? When is your MMA radio show on so I can check it out and see how it’s supposed to be done?

Just b/cuz he’s successful at the moment doesn’t mean that everyone likes what he’s doing or that it’s right. I’ve always disliked the instigator side of Ariel, because I noticed he provokes the fighters, & as an MMA fan, i think the last thing fighters need is an instigator with a microphone in their face..this is why Dominick Cruz and others have had to ‘alpha male’ him or put him in check, because he absolutely reeks of sarcasm at times. The reason he’s successful, in my opinion, and what got him the audience he has now, is that he’s knowledgeable about the sport and PROFESSIONAL, i no longer watch his show as a direct result of him trying to be the Chael Sonnen version of Matt Lauer…i hate it when guys feel like if someone is successful then they cannot be criticized…according to your logic, i guess we shouldn’t criticize Hitler either, since he was successful, too.

Plus… there’s still Bisping, Lombart, and Chael to go through before he fights Anderson.

Rio Warrior, Demian Maia is an absolute beast who only ever looked bad against Nate Marquardt who is a striking machine. And Weidman on 10 days notice, was out struck by Maia (in a super active fight albeit they cancelled each other out a lot)but easily out grappled him and so Weidman won a Unanimous Decision, not a Split. I agree a Vitor or Belcher fight for Weidman makes the most sense.

Stop saying Bisping, because Bisping never beats any worthy fighter. Dude is a cry baby bitch. Chris has the perfect style and it’s safe to say he would out wrestle Chael because he’s probably stronger and def has better hands. And to down play Munoz is stupid because Chris demolished him without any issues. Anderson looked like s*** against Chael both times to be honest, though he won. If not Chris, then possibly Belcher, but never ever Bisping in a million fights. I can’t speak for Lombard until he fights a few times in UFC or beats the s*** out of someone with a good rep. Watch Chris beat Anderson, if and when it happens, if accepted, everyone’s mouth would come off of Anderson’s ball sack.

yeah Silva shouldn’t fight anyone cause they would just lose. Everybody should just get to num 1 contender then just concede.
