He’s ready, 5 wins in 15 months, 2 being top 5 ranked, he’s ready… if Bones Jones got his shot, Weidman deserves his too. Or give him Bisping.

He could have his shot, but I would personally prefer to see him against the winner of the Bisping v. Belcher fight.
He definitely earned it, but so will the winner of that fight.
The winner of Lombard vs. Boetsch may come just behind it. Maybe the winner can fight Stann while waiting for the title shot.
Now, I really want to see Munoz vs. Sonnen and the loser of Bisping vs. Belcher against the loser of Lombard vs. Boetsch.

Weidman should fight number two now which is Chael. Than fight the spider.
But I don’t think Chael would fight him. The perfect world would be Chael loses for Weidman and go against Vitor and Loses again and retire. Fox and fuel would get more from him than the Octagon.

this guy is the real deal, many people don’t know just how good of a wrestler he is…think about it like this: Chael used to wrestle against Mark Munoz and lose, and we all consider Chael top notch. This guy just made Munoz look amateurish. He also used to wrestle and beat Ryan Bader and Phil Davis, so he’s as legit as they come, but he’s also smart and would appear to be a phenom. His submissions are light years ahead of many, and if he gets full mount, eventually you’re getting submitted. He faced Galvao back in ’09 and didn’t get submitted. He’s a bad match-up stylistically for Anderson Silva, but then again, so was Hendo and Sonnen and others…

Give him his shot now. Him waiting for the winner of Belcher-Bisping, then fighting the winner, then fighting Silva is too long for Silva to be sitting around. Belcher-Bisping would be the automatic title contender of Weidman-Silva winner.
