Is Brenneman’s groundgame really bad? Silva didn’t even hit him. Just as Florian was talking about Charlie’s great scrambles he gets choked out without Silva even throwing a knee or punch. Just a straight grappling match.

That was some bullshit reffing. I hate how many stand ups, resets, etc. there are as of late. It’s a f*****’ fight. If you can’t stop someones wrestling, then that’s your fault for not training your wrestling hard enough. Sure, sometimes a fight can be (really) boring because of it. But at least we know who really is the best man/best in the world/winner of the fight.

Not fixed.IMO when guys clearly give an easy submission it’s a way to quit without quitting.I saw so many fights where a guy is great at grappling but at the end of the fight for some reason gives up his back or gives his arm.

Funny how people are trashin’ about the ref ’cause he stop the fight, should have continued thats how wrestlers work. But they did the same thing with jiu jitsu when it was dominating. Brenneman just wanted to hold silva on the cage and im glad the ref didn’t let him.
As for the fight being fixed you guys are morons. Brenneman hardly had a chance of winning this fight and just like alot of wrestlers they don’t do well when they are put on the defensive. Most of silvas wins are on the ground. Silva needs to fight someone better to see how good he really is

Good thing they fight between him and mike swick never happened, because i am certain would have not won. Erick Silva might end up being the UFC best kept secret if he wins a couple more fights against quality opposition. The only real fighter who might give him problems are good wrestlers.
