All the pressure is actualy in the knee. The shin is not on the calf but behind the knee almost separating it.

No this submission is called a calf crusher not an ankle lock.He doesnt twist his ankle,he puts his leg behind the guy’s claf,closes the triangle and presses his calf on his bone.One of the most painful submissions.

Doesn’t look like a calf crusher, it looks like he’s slicing his hamstring with his shin. Unless the back of Oliveira’s leg is crushing his calf. I’m sure there was pain throughout Wisely’s leg, including his knee. Regardless, it was a nasty submission!
