While Sonnen was more than willing to talk about their upcoming fight at UFC 159, “Bones” wasn’t quite as eager as his opponent. Log in to Reply Rico Suave April 15, 2013 I like both fighters so this has nothing to do with me not liking one or the other, but Bones is just pissed that once the taping for TUF 17 ended, you saw interviews of Chael doing what Chael does best, talking smack and promoting the fight, Bones has the look of a little kid, “I thought you were my friend? I’m not talking to you anymore!” You can be in a zone, and focused for a fight, but come on, as Uncle Dana says, you have a job to do outside the octagon as well! Log in to Reply wcoastassassin April 15, 2013 I think it was just an awkward night for Jones, not having a contestant in the final. Knowing what a big mouth Chael can be, I am sure he made more than a comment about both the fighters in the finale being his. Log in to Reply PAPABear April 15, 2013 Prepare your Anus for Sodomy Chael Log in to Reply Licks72 April 15, 2013 That interviewer is awful. I remember thinking that every question of his was leading. He would ask a question and answer it at the same time. Awful. Log in to Reply Licks72 April 15, 2013 That being said, clearly Jones is a mental midget, though physically gifted. I put him around at about a 13 year olds mentality. Log in to Reply Jose Veyna April 15, 2013 I give it to Chael Via Spining back fist! Log in to Reply High stakes April 15, 2013 I thought he would stop his little WWE act after anderson beat his face in n knocked him the F#$% out…… but clearly jon jones is going to have to give him a much worse beating then anderson because just like he did to shogun…jon jones wont finish chael he will keep him in and hurt him!god will it be nice to see! Log in to Reply white tiger April 15, 2013 When I first saw this I thought Jones was drunk and was doing his best to hold his composure while not giving away his current state. Log in to Reply shocktime April 15, 2013 Let’s all be real here for a second. How the hell does Chael win this fight against Jones? I mean it’s like one of us trying to beat Micheal Jordan in his prime one on one. Is it possible? Of course, just extremely unlikely. Log in to Reply c hill April 15, 2013 Chael is smart enough now he’s admiring the possibility of a fall.. In truth I’d be sad if chael stopped fighting. I’d miss his words and his personality.. and also in truth there are few people who just go for things Log in to Reply BamBam April 15, 2013 Chael better ask Fuel TV he can work there permanently, after getting CREAMED by Jones he’ll prob retired, doubt they’ll cut his arse because Dana loves his nuts,as much as I hate Chael I hate Jones even more, but I want Jones to win,Machida San Karate Kun Revenge awaits him!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Log in to Reply greengiant April 15, 2013 Sadly sonnen is not going to win.Jones will be beat soon enough though. Log in to Reply Tempted April 15, 2013 I want Chael to win because I think it would make Bones come back with a vengeance. I used to not like Chael but with every interview I start coming around to him. The dude is entertaining as hell. That said, I predict Chael KO’ing himself in the 2nd. Log in to Reply whitedragon April 15, 2013 I sure ass hope that chael whoop’s jones’s arrogant , lanky, boney ass; but highly unlikely. Jones will probably end up finishing em in the 2 nd or 3rd round….I hope not though I hope jones gets his ass kicked! Log in to Reply MMAgiantsilva April 15, 2013 I agree Mr Whitedragon. Jones is not that guy if you are looking for a cool, genuine, nice, intelligent or personable guy. He sucks at all those things. But when it comes to kicking ass he is amazing. Log in to Reply Dharmaboy April 15, 2013 Jones is such a tool. Hope he prays to God or Allah or whatever he bullshits about and walks into the ring with the same hookers from the Bentley incident. Log in to Reply Wallty April 15, 2013 I am surprised that Chael was much more respectful in this interview than he has been against any other opponent he has faced. I dislike the promotion for promotions sake and am glad Jones is not getting involved. Do your talking in the ring, I am interested in good matches not good talkers. Log in to Reply jdogg April 15, 2013 Chael sees this fight as a career opportunity while Jones sees this as an actual fight. Not good sign for Chael. Log in to Reply FailSonnen April 15, 2013 The three people that gave Jonese any remote glimpse of trouble were: Vitor Belfort (by way of armbar) Lyoto Machida (by way of striking rushing in) Stephan Bonnar (by way of lasting through the whole match and making Bones show signs of fatigue) Out of those three, only Bonnar made it to the end and that was with mainly a striking match. I really don’t see Chael winning this one on strikes but who knows with his wrestling he may trip him up and lay on him but I doubt it Log in to Reply Jo April 15, 2013 I like how Chael is promoting this fight without getting all nasty against his opponent. I don’t like it when people pretend to be enemies. What’s up with Bones being all monosyllabic? Come on man! At least give me the, “I got to know Chael a bit on the show and really like him, it’s going to be a real bummer having to bash his face in. But that’s what we do.” Log in to Reply atomos April 15, 2013 in front of a large live audience and live on cable tv, sonnen screamed that if silva was going to beat him, he (sonnen) was going to eave the ufc. silva beat him. easily. and now here is sonnen, getting a title fight in a higher weight category and talking down to everybody. ufc = wwe? Log in to Reply VagInalTear April 15, 2013 If you fu*kwads owned the UFC or made a chunk of dough from the PPV you would be more then happy with a fighter like Sonnen trying to sell the fight. Log in to Reply thephoenixneverdies April 15, 2013 hah, a lot of you folk have funny opinions, but hey, you’re entitled to that. My take on that interview, Jones is now in fight mode, fk the niceties, he knows what Chael brings to the mic BUT he, himself, knows what it takes to be a champ and to do his job..i liked the fact jones didn’t play for the camera and left Chael to reel of blah blahs again. And hey, i appreciate both as athletes and fighters but Jones has switched from coach to defending title holder and let Chael still run his hype talk…if Sonnen somehow gets the W, i would be very suprised but this is the fight game, anything can happen. Log in to Reply figaro April 15, 2013 Chael is all excited because win or loose he gets to dry hump a big guy for a little wile and get the big payday…never would make it as a porn star. Log in to Reply DING A LING April 16, 2013 When jon is fighting chael im gonna have both their girls cooking me a couple of steaks. Best steak wins a night with me- mr. Big Dick;-) Log in to Reply mrl3 April 16, 2013 I wouldn’t count Chael out quite yet. Jon Jones does have a weakness that no one has exploited yet…..wrestling. And…Jon Jones is no knockout artist like Anderson Silva. If Chael stay out a choke and goes out their and performs like he did against Anderson Silva in the first fight, then Chael will be the next champ. But he looked a little juiced to me. So I hope he doesn’t pull off a W and get screwed by the p-test. Log in to Reply Hoodeenee April 16, 2013 this ain’t a sport but entertainment to its core…. Sonnen’s only chance is a dream…. something the UFC can arrange Log in to Reply RONDOG April 16, 2013 I’m wanting chael to win for sure. Big personality and a good fighter. By far the better coach from what was shown on the TUF season. Jones however has all the tools to beat him or anyone for that matter and is the better fighter. But as they always say, everyone has a punchers chance! Log in to Reply OscarMayhem April 16, 2013 Nipple-head Anik makes me cringe, again. Log in to Reply OscarMayhem April 16, 2013 My apologies, but seriously, does the UFC have to put the most emasculated boy-man to be the announcer. Sure he’s taking the MMA crash course (and he’s passing – just barely – Goldberg failed it 7-8 times), but my lord he’s so obviously partial, he asks stupid questions, he can’t correct himself or else he starts smelling of urine, and his voice sounds like he was drowned out at the dinner table too many times as a kid. Where’s Joe Rogan!? Log in to Reply Rick April 16, 2013 Screw it. I do that sometimes, just shut some douche down and dont acknowledge them when they run their mouth. No big story here. Log in to Reply Joe Dog April 16, 2013 Introducing Sonnen as “the number one contender” seems emough to piss Jones off. Who needs women in the UFC? Log in to Reply Dieselhead April 16, 2013 “I may go down”? WTF? What champion ever says that? I think he’s already given up and laid down for that triangle at this point.
