I hate bisping but 30-27, what fight was that judge watching? Looks like thy wanted their rematch and got it.

Chael won, but looked like s*** doing it. Bitchping didn’t do anything the entire fight, how could he win? Just smothered Chael on the fence a little, landed a few shots but Chael landed about the same. Bitchping had no take downs which is what won the fight. Chael out pointed him. Still shitty fight. I hope this was just an under estimation because if he looks like that against Anderson he might be the first death in the cage.

as much as i don’t like bisping, id rather see him vs anderson then sonnen…

I saw the fight 29-28 Sonnen… Sonnen dominated the 3rd. Just because Joe Rogan was polishing Bisping’s nuts the entire fight does not mean I listen to the guy.

I sure hope Sonnen finishes the beat down he gave Silva the first time.

I’d give the first two rounds to Bisping. It was close though.

I hope Anderson retires within a few days just to spoil Dana’s obvious doctored setup. Those judges had instructions to give it to Chael no matter what as long as Bisping doesn’t pull off the sub/KO.

And then there is Chael’s WWF speech at the end.

ok I dislike Bisbing but I like to see a fair fight and decesion, that was very very unfair! Bisbing had first and second round no question about it and in the third he got back up after chael had laid and prayed on him and he had the dominant position when the bell went off. so either im delusional or the judges are totally biased or blind.
but I think they didn’t want bisbing to win because they wanna put chael against Anderson and they know most poeple wanted that and its gonna have a huge revenue. I’m unhappy to see that happening to a fighter in the ufc even though i don’t like him. i’m sure he is very angry right now and rightfully so.

how can anyone claim that bisping won the 1st round? it was even very close.

First off I don’t like Sonnen at ALL! …..but he clearly won the 1st and last round due to more strike connections and control in the 1st and in the last round he controlled 80% of the round. Bisping needed just a little more time at the end to pull out the win.

Now Sonnen without steroids seems more human now. Anderson is going to destroy him.

At first I thought bisping got robbed but after watching it 2nd time, i think it was a good decision. sonnen had 3 take downs the 1st round and bisping none. 1 in 2nd round and clearly won the 3rd. But I was surprise by bisping performance, i thought he would get dominated much more. sonnen without roids look tired in 3 rounds though, dont think he could repeat what he did to silva. rogan was so bias towards bisping towards the end though.

Really guys?… Sonnen CLEARLY won that fight 29-28 or better, with both 1st and second rounds being somewhat close. The 3rd round was clearly Sonnen’s. With that said, anyone who thought that Bispring got robbed is delusional. Try watching the fight without the commentary and you’ll probably feel different. Bispring ticking away with patsy shots and missed combinations doing ZERO damage doesn’t score well to some judges. Running away (backpedaling), being on your back and taking the most damage in a fight usually means a loss and Bispring clearly didn’t win anything.

BTW, Rogan giving Bispring or anyone credit for standing up after getting mounted or put on his back at this level is just plain silly. ALL the top guys can fight their way out of situations, but Bispring getting extra kudos for his work rate and ability to keep moving is just sad. if this was any other fighter, Rogan would have been saying, “man, he’s down again…. this isn’t looking very good for his championship title shot”. Personally, I like that Bispring is now on the receiving end of decisions since he is the lucky benefactor of many of those in the past.

You Sonnen “fans” are clueless. I’ve always been a UFC fan (since 1994), but this fight made me lose all respect. It’s clear they wanted the rematch. They sold out. Chael didn’t get a 10-8. 10-9 at beat in the third. 29-28 Bisbing won at least in this fight. What a joke.

Silva by ko or submission on April 21. It’s not going 5 rounds. One nut is done. I honestly don’t want to see him fight again.

How many warnings did McCarthey give Bisping? “Don’t hit the back of the head Mike”…”Let go of the shorts Mike”…”Let go of the cage Mike.” Bisping is the biggest douche in MMA (and Chael is a douchey guy!). They only keep Bisping around so they can keep the Brit fans watching. The next fight in the UK will have Bisping against a nobody so he can win…mark my words.

This kind of fight exposes the problem with boxing scoring in MMA. Let’s assume for a second that you give Bisping rounds 1 and 2. Fine, he squeaked them out. But he was soundly beaten in the third round. Are two toss-up rounds more worthy of a decision than one dominant round? This is the same kind of problem in the Fitch-Pierce fight where Pierce smashed Fitch in the third round, but was slightly outgrappled in the first two rounds. If you win that kind of decision, can you really feel good about it?

Robberies or questionable decisions will repeatedly arise if the totality of the fight is not judged.

Wasn’t a Bisping fan before the fight but was pulling for him to win by the end. No way was that a 30-27 fight. Sonnen looked like Sh*t and Bisping pressed the action for most of the fight.

Not a hard fight to score 2 to 1 for Sonnen, Bisping we can give the second round too…but that it. Rogan can give whatever opinion he wants lol..must of smoke a puff befor the fight

How can anybody really be surprised with this result?

Fact is, the only significant event in rd 1 were Chael’s TD’s which we’ve learned time and time again score well on the judges cards… Bisping had him on the cage for a bit, but that doesn’t mean he was scoring.

RD 2 was the close one with bisping wall stalling successfully but if I remember correctly (didn’t rewatch fight) Chael landed a TD in there somewhere too… Prolly gave him the RD on 1 or 2 cards.

Round 3 was looking 10-8ish until the last 90 seconds. Sonnen was on top, passed guard, mounted and landed a a bunch of strikes for over 3 minutes. Bisping did well to regain position later but still definitely 10-9 Sonnen.

I dont know what most of the people on here have been smoking… but I want some. Definitely Chael’s fight 29-28.

Rogan just like Bisping too much. How can someone think that bisping won. Bisping did a good defence job at the fence, but chael was the one who attacked and made some TD. Chael won clearly all 3 rounds. I hate Roganfor his unequal judging.
I still think that chael got some chances against Silva. Silva doesn’t have so much Wrestling defence as Bisping. Silva is better standup fighter wither reach advantage but chael is not gone standup fight against silva. Chael is gonna get silva to the fence and ground and do some dirty fighting.

Guys, Even Dana white and Chael Sonnen thought Bisping won rounds 1 & 2. Regardless, Chael gets the nod, i just hope you American Bisping haters give him his due. He gave Chael a fight and it was not as one sided as you all anticipated !!

If I were a Brit I would be pissed. I am an American and I am Pissed. Bisping was robbed rounds 1 and 2 for Bisping. Round 3 was a tie or slightly for Chael. Split decision win for Bisping.

First, I don’t really care who won this fight. Anyone saying that the fight was CLEAR in any direction has a big misconception of MMA scoring system, which is b.s.
There are no guidelines to score take downs higher than solid shots to the head or, any guidelines that make any action more important than any other, which is also b.s. It’s all subjective and judges can score fights to a fighter because he thought that fighter looked more aggressive even if the fighter didn’t do sh*t in the fight (Leonardo Garcia for example).
On another note: those who say Sonnen is not on steroids, you have to be kidding me, right? He said he wasn’t going to stop. Just because he has a doctor’s note it doesn’t mean he’s off that sh*t. He probably can’t even train without TRT, being such an effeminate guy. Let’s just hope he kept it in the normal human levels.

Bisping was robbed lets face it people keep saying if sonnen fights like this vs anderson silver he will get bashed but the truth is styles make fights. Bisping is a master of getting back to his feet and is also has arguable some of the best conditioning and cardio in mma meaning he outstikes sonnen and gets back to his feet without to much of a problem untill he tried to go for the sub in the last round f****** stupid mistake on bispings part because it opened his defs and let sonnen take his back and grind out the third. but in no way did sonnen win that fight,
I think it will work out better for bisping though because if sonnen can somehow pull off a win vs anderson then bisping will get the belt and if sonnen wins it will also show the way to beat anderson silver and thats by steamrolling him to the matt and smothering him for five rounds.

Sonnen definitely won rounds 1 and 3. Could have taken round 2 as well depending on how you view/score a fight. Bisping landed a few of his butterly hands punches to zero effect on Chael and humped him up against the cage for a bit, but not enough to win. Did Sonnen look good? No. Did he win? yes.

Heck, Mikey is the 2nd biggest crybaby in the UFC and he wasn’t even surprised at the call – didn’t even make a sour face.

Chael clearly won this fight. I think people expected him to take Bisping down at will like he did in Silva, and when that didn’t happen, all the Chael-haters saw him losing round one and two. In the real world, Sonnen was taking the fight to Bisping all three rounds, and at the end of rounds one and two Bisping was doubled-over like he was about to pass-out.

Chael will destroy Silva because he is not scared to take the fight to him, something most of Silva’s opponents won’t do.

Sonnen is still the baddest man on the planet!

I watched this fight at work with no audio on a live feed, thought Sonnen won a clear decision. Rogan’s commentary has been getting worse and worse of late.

Seriously, it is impossible not to give round 1 to Sonnen.

Round 2 was extremely close (Sonnen still was the only one to manage a takedown and no real damage was done standing, but I’ll give to Bisping).

Round 3 was dominated by Sonnen.

I can understand all the newbie fans yelling “robbery!”, but you older posters? Really? Can you really watch that fight and say Sonnen didn’t pull out a close, ugly win?

Bisping might have landed a few punches but Chael was never hurt by any of them throughout the entire fight. Chael controlled the majority of the fight that’s why he won. Close fight.

I don’t agree with some who say ” Sonnen clearly won the 3RD” sure he did score more point in the beginning of 3rd but by the end bisbing got back up and was on top of Sonnon so he wasn’t clearly wining i’m sure if the fight went one more min the result would have been very different. not to to forget a judge scoring 30-27? that was just a joke!
Sonnen’s little girly punches to the arm and body were weak and didn’t do any damage.

I am British, i like both sonnen and Bisping so i am kind of neutral. The only reason i would have liked to see bisping win is that he was the underdog, so the upset would have been interesting. But Chael clearly won the fight. It would have been really interesting to see a five rounder there, but Chael won the 3 round fight. No need for a rematch. Chael will also be a way better apponent for Silva.
