Chael Sonnen vs Jason Mayhem Miller Fight Video Rumble On The Reservation

Chael Sonnen is a boring fighter. The only thing he does is hug and throw you to the ground like a mad horny gay guy and if he would win the fight against Silva, he wouldn’t hold the belt for too long because he is not a well rounded fighter. He is a dumb racist.

Early stages, here. Let’s not be overly critical. I’m excited to see Chael fight again! He’s the only fighter since Chris Leben that refuses to allow Anderson Silva to measure the distance for a full minute at the beginning of every fight.

This fight was not super exciting, but if you enjoy backstory, or in any way enjoy the fine details of being a fight fan, there is plenty of merit in this fight.

Also, why didn’t Mayhem try anything other than a triangle?

Guess you guys are forgetting what he did to Anderson on his feet… Chael is a wrestler, its what he is best at. Asking him to stand and bang with world class strikers would be like asking David Ortiz to pitch against the Yankees. Sure he might know how to throw a ball but he can’t strike out Jeter. That said, Chael does have decent strikes. No power, but great technique. He uses that to set up the take down where he grinds you down. I will say that if he performs like he did against Bitchping it will be a brutal night for him. If Chael loses this fight then I want to see Hendo come back down to 185 and try again. Anderson doesn’t have a great chin. Chael put him down numerous times and he doesn’t have power. Hendo rocked him hard, too.

Pretty dumb comments here. It was Chael’s second fight, all he knew was wrestling at that point. I’ve found that most of his recent fights were entertaining. Sonnen vs Silva, Stann, Marquardt, and Okami were all entertaining IMO.

Also LOL @ Tempted saying Hendo rocked Silva and saying that Silva doesn’t have a good chin. Wrong on both ends buddy. Silva has shown nothing but a good chin and has never been knocked out in MMA, also rewatch the hendo fight, Silva was never visibly hurt.

If you do not like Chael,GSP,Hughes,Trigg,Fitch,Edgar,Jones,Evans types of fights then maybe watch boxing OR go to the nearest boxing gym and they will give you 3 free sessions normally, have a cup and a mouth guard and some board shorts and try it a few times.. then talk about how horrible and boring this fight was. No one here fights that is the problem a bunch of uneducated and obese wwf fans. So I will break it down so you can steal my words and use them as you’re own. Sonnen has been wrestling with a record since High School, he excels at it, he is an amazing wrestler and can throw pretty good 1-2′s and has a really nice feints with his shots to get someone down and transistions better then anyone..why would he change? Silva is an amazing thai guy, he uses jits strictly for the reason that he can not wrestle and stuff shot to well with wrestlers of chaels caliber [ watch the fight several times ] Chael’s chance of losing is just as good as Silva’s. Noobs

Anyone who whines about wrestling needs to realize that “holding people down” and controlling them is NOT somehow circumventing the rules or the spirit of martial arts. Wrestling is the martial art of restraining your opponent and controlling their position. It is also the art of throwing your opponent with as much amplitude as possible. Assuming that we are talking about a 1v1 scenario, wrestling is extremely effective on the street. Many throws and take-downs (blast double or hip toss) can be devastating and even lethal on hard surfaces. If the intent is not to harm, but to avoid being harmed and restrain your attacker, wrestling is an excellent tool to have. After all, you would expect the “good guy” to restrain their attacker and hold him until authorities come. I bet you that cops would beat the s*** out of people and use tasers much less if they all knew wrestling.
