Chael is now relegated to be the Krotcheck of the MW division. He will be the measuring stick to anyone trying to get a title shot.
He will probably never get a title shot again just like Kos. In many ways, he is now the champs’ shield. It’s a sad and humbling position.
However, saying he sucks or anything like that is only bad rhetoric. He earned his shot twice. He is a good wrestler and can give trouble to most fighters in the division.

I got more respect for Chael after this fight!

I never liked him but Im impressed that he doesnt whine and complain after a loss like allot of fighters do.

As much as it pleases me that Sonnen was beaten again by the best, i do think he would be a great replacement for Goldberg as a UFC commentator, like really.. He has a way of speaking, aint no Spider though,

If chael hadn’t pulled an Arlovski, he still may have won that fight. Anderson was much better in the guard this time. It probably would have come down to who had the better gas tank. That being said, he beat him again and this time convincingly. Mr. Silva is one of the greatest.

Chaels been really the only one who’s ever almost BEATEN anderson silva. I don’t mean those japanese fighters who pulled wacky submissions out of no where, i mean actually beaten him.

Im sure anderson will never forget that lesson. There is always some one out there that can beat you.

Chael beat himself with trying that spinning elbow. Ask Uriah Faber where his last spinning elbow got him. Another example is andre arlovski trying the flying knee vs Fedor, see where that got him? KO’d. Blind techniques almost always end badly in MMA. No telling how this fight would have turned out had he not tried such a careless move.

Chael is really a journeyman, just look at his record. he has done exceedingly well to get as far as he did, its down hill for him from now on im afraid. He is very bright and even got a book out of these fights. Guy is a quote machine and used well to his advantage. I am more impressed at his ability in hyping a fight than his actual fighting skills, to be fair. Credit to him though, wish him best of luck in whatever he chooses to do.
