I am a sonnen fan, but hes reallyy a douche. Even if the ratings are better, trying to have an interview is a complete waste of time. Im american but I cant stand him ripping Brazil for no real reason. The ratings must really pay off because it is pretty racist and the boss wont tell him to tone it down. I kinda hope he wins but wouldnt mind seeing his face smashed…

In character, Sonnen is this super-confident delusional whack job lunatic who rants about anything he chooses at the moment, all the while offending anyone he thinks is listeneing. In reality, I’m guessing he is a little desperate knowing he is in the Autumn of his fight career in MMA. It is his asshole “character” that sells his fights, not his hump and pump wrestling style. He knows it and takes his schtick straight to the bank. Still, I hope he wins even if he just lays on the squeaky Brazillian for 25 minutes boxing his ears.

There are a ton of normal interviews with him. This is a character he made. Just like Christian Bale becomes Batman or Dwayne Johnson becomes the Rock. There are a ton of interviews where he pays respect to his Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Instructor, who is from Brazil, He hangs a Brazilian Flag in his private Gym.
To people who have been watching Fights for a while know not to buy into all the bullshit. 100% of everything that goes on outside of the ring is just smoke and mirrors.
