He was a vilain and they put him against a bigger vilain that acted like a coward and that turned Chael into a hero/good guy. Nice one UFC for ripping a page out the pro-wrestling book! Log in to Reply Muay Thai #1 August 24, 2012 Jon Jones “Just Do Nothing” Log in to Reply iron_cobra August 24, 2012 Im really surprised that shogun and machida turned down that fight. especially machida he had a short fight with bader. but as athletes they should be ready for a fight against anyone. kudos to chael for stepping up but jones is smart to turn down the fight. chael would have wrestled his ass off. and pounded his ass against the cage. jones is scared to lose the title and that would have been his biggest opponent. i hope vitor rips his face off. Log in to Reply bernie August 24, 2012 rashad evans must be having a ball Log in to Reply SEAN_VANCE August 24, 2012 THose who think CHael has a chance against JJ are smokign some serious crack…. anyway, why does CHael keep getting tittle shots like its a pinata? Im actualyl on JJ’s side although I dislike him. Chael simply doesnt deserve ANOTHER title shot just cos he’s Chael SOnnen. With that beign said, Jones should definitely fight SOMEONE, to avoid cancelling event. Log in to Reply oreilzac August 24, 2012 White quoted Jones as telling the president, “I’m not fighting Chael Sonnen with eight days’ notice,” and said Jones’ trainer, Greg Jackson, advised that taking on Sonnen “would be the biggest mistake of” Jones’ life. Jackson, said White, “is a sport killer.” Jackson fired back Friday, telling MMAWeekly.com, “It was actually three days notice; it’s not eight days’ notice because you don’t train the last week of a fight camp. That’s when you do media and weight cutting; there’s no real training going on there. When I was asked if fighting Sonnen for a world title on three days’ notice was a smart idea, I said no. “Chael is in a great position in that he’d been training with Dan Henderson for this fight, getting him ready, and he’s in shape. He knows the plan on what they’re going to do to get around Jon. So he’s ready to go. It’s not like he’s stepping off the couch and into a fight. So taking a fight of that caliber with a guy that’s ready, on three days’ notice, for a world championship, without any time to prepare, is just not professional to me.” Log in to Reply FedorFails Again August 24, 2012 Chael really has a point here, if Jones did accept he would only have to worry about 8 days worth of Chael injecting TRT in his ass. Now he’s going to have to worry about hael injecting 90 days worth of TRT into his ass!!! You messed up JJ, big time! Log in to Reply kinglyfellow August 24, 2012 Not a fan of Bones, but **** both Dana & Chael. I’m with Bones on this one. He had nothing to gain and everything to loose. Accepting the fight would be doing both Dana & Chael a favor. Who wants to do favors for *******s. Dana, FYI, injuries are part of the game. Perhaps it is time for better contingency plans…CO-MAIN EVENTS for all fight cards. Log in to Reply Roe Jogan August 24, 2012 Forget the fans, forget the UFC, forget the event venue and gate. Jon Jones ****ED all the fighters on the card and their trainers, partners, coaches, management, sponsors, etc… many people have just lost their livelihood for a period of time because Jones ducked Chael? I repeat… JONES DUCKED CHAEL? He should be able to roll right through Sonen. WTF? … and for that many, many, many good hard working people just lost their paychecks. Log in to Reply MangyMongoose August 24, 2012 **** yeah. Log in to Reply kinglyfellow August 24, 2012 Get in formed, Jones said he would fight Chael 9/22. The UFC ****ed all the fighters and trainers. Injuries have happened before, injuries will happen again, they should have been better prepared. Log in to Reply Roe Jogan August 24, 2012 Kingly…. got any proof or a link to the lie you just told? We didn’t think so. Jones just lost a ton of future endorsements. He is lucky he just signed with Nike, because that is the last big one he gets. Any others that come his way will be at a vastly reduced rate. This was a very costly move. He could have beat Sonen easily. WTF? He just screwed over every fighter and their teams on this card. Log in to Reply hooch1967 August 24, 2012 Cheal Sonnen 2012!!! Log in to Reply My opinion August 24, 2012 Tkdko is only 9 guys… Cut him some slack. Log in to Reply dave August 25, 2012 even though I dislike Chael I have so much more respect for him then that fake ass bitch jones. the guy doesn’t give a fu$k about so many fighters who worked so hard to get paid few grands, let alone so many people who bought tickets, flights and hotel reservations. I can’t see why he wouldn’t fight a guy who isn’t even training and is 185lb’er. what a bi*ch! Log in to Reply freee August 25, 2012 a low life crook trying to fight a champ?? LOL.
