It’s been stated many times that the fighters also earn part of the ppvs if they’re the main event. So far chael stands @ #1 with a $50+ mill ppv on UFC 148. So he’s telling the truth. if he was left with 10% of ppv buys, that’s still a $5 mill check he took home.

Tkdko – Chael might have a unique deal worked out with the PPV because he does a lot for promotion and dissemination of UFC. So he is potentially the highest paid. We don’t know. The PPV sharing is not publicly dispersed. Chael has been known in the past to deliberately state mistruths (eg. I am undefeated at 185). He knows that fools like you and I will chomp at the bit for him to be called on these lies. Fox viewers love Chael. And people like myself disagree with a lot of what he represents (his personal attacks on Anderson, , but like his fighting style, his integrity, grit and forthrightness. He is entertaining as a person and a fighter. Chael is a cheater and a joker but he at least is confident and self assured. Jones is a bully and insecure.
