Cesar is an idiot, Penn is a harder fight, BS. He is more well rounded? How many times would GSP have to beat Penn to be more well rounded? No one is talking about the GSP fight? Only reason why people are talking about Diaz is because hes such a screw up. All he did was miss a press conference? That’s a big deal. All you have to do as a fighter is press conferences and fight. He’s not doing half his job. I hate Diaz, just fire him after he gets beaten up.

Dana is a genius. I don’t think that Cesar quite gets it yet.
If GSP and Nick win, they fight next. Same with any combo of winners. Same with the losers. They’ll all fight each other eventually, and the best of the best will be champ. While all the while, Jon Fitch stands irrelevantly on the sidelines, and GSP gets to continue to duck the Silva fight.

FYI GSP did said that eventually he wants to move in a steady physical way to a natural 205 if he wants to compete at that wait. That is once he thinks he has proven to all he is the truly best at his weight, same for Silva.
I think both of them wouldn’t mind beating everybody twice, to make that point. That first win was not a 50-50 thing.
I know I would, line them up.
I always loved Fedor for the difference of size he had with some of his opponent, when today for a 10lbs, some avoid each other.

Everybody talks s*** about Nick not being responsible and only doing what he wants, even when that may be a part of it, don’t forget that he battles with social anxiety issues. Those chemical imbalances in the brain can be real troublesome that only the individual suffering from them can understand. I think one can argue against the strength of the whole of it, but there is absolutely no doubt that the guy is good enough to show what he’s got against what everyone else considers the best. I think some of his opponents don’t get enough credit and any fighter in the UFC generally gets a bit too much based solely on that.
One of the cooler things I’ve noticed lately is seeing it written that Diaz hasn’t fought in the UFC since defeating Gleison Tibau. Pretty easy to gloss right over it but just how many guys leave the UFC after wins? It’s not like he was run out of town like has been oft suggested.

I’m ecstatic that Dana White salvaged Diaz’ UFC career by giving him the “opportunity” to fight a marquee guy like BJ Penn especially after no-showing to something as simple as a press conference. I don’t see how you would NOT want to see this fight happen. If not Diaz/GSP, then Diaz/BJ Penn is the next best thing. Diaz is back on the proving grounds to prove what he’s worth not just as a fighter, but as an investment for the UFC for many years to come.

Rear Naked Smoke, anderson silva is 4 inches taller than gsp at 6’2″, and anderson NORMALLY weighs around 220 +.
He is a much much larger man than gsp, so this idea that they are somehow closely matched in size is ridiculous.
If anderson didnt want to fight at such a skinny weight he could EASILY move into heavyweight, and he is good enough to beat all of the heavyweights too.
To be fair, anderson is a freakishly good fighter with incomparible skills, GSP is an extremely dedicated student of the game and an absurdly hard worker, but the two are simply not the same.
George just isnt as good as anderson, plain and simple, but who else is ?
ALSO, george is the much smaller man, and his striking is amateurish when compared to someone like anderson.
AND GSP is the much smaller man, much shorter reach, this is a no win for him in every imaginable way.
I do not see what in the world he has to gain by even taking the fight, and he would be putting himself at MASSIVE disadvantage, especially when regarding the difference in striking abilities.
GSP is my favorite fighter, and the idea of him moving UP in weight class to fight an absolutely massive middleweight who is in fact in all likelyhood the best mma fighter in the world, is a horrible one at best.

Anderson fought at 205, and he fought a can in ” the sandman ” , and while popular, lets be honest and admit that forrest griffin is just not an elite fighter, athlete, anything, he never was, and never will be.
Again, i want to point out, anderson is 6’2″ tall, 4 inches taller than gsp, and normally weighs over 220 pounds, vs gsp’s normal 195 pounds.

These people weigh in at what they feel is their optimum weight for performance.

He didnt got hit more then 10 times against Kos,He dropped Alves and didnt get hit more then 10 times too.He dropped Fitch 3 times and almost never got hit.He Koed Matt Hughes.If you say his stand-up suck you are crazy.MMA stand-up is all about SHOOT BOXING and no one in the world is close to GSP in shoot boxing.You put awesome top game great cardio and good submission defense and it makes the best striker in WW.If everyone is scared to get taken down so they dont attack,then get punched 3 times miss a punch and gets taken down…To me that means being a better MMA striker.
