Sure Carlos loses in this old-school bout, yet I recall getting hooked on this sport in early 2007 due to among others, this tall&skinny guy who was easily walking thru any opponent he faced. Back in the WEC days he looked kinda invencible, indestructible, unbeatable. He reigned and I hope he will do so again, I root for him this Saturday although Diaz is by far his toughest test ever.

Kitaoka, the one trick pony!

No shame for him to lost to Kitaoka at that time, KItaoka is a bjj black belt and champion and he even beat few other UFC fighters too beside Condit like Daley, Pellegrino and Gomi.

Kataoka got the submission because he was willing to get smashed in the face and head repeatedly. tough dude.

Talk about earning a victory. He got some serious beats for that submission. One thing that japanese fighters do well is take punishment.

honorable loss. he f***** that guys whole world up. he wasn’t ready for such a complete game and you could see the relief on his face when he sunk that. NATURAL BORN

donkeyboner Says, in 2-1-2012 at 01:49:25 from

what interests me is will he be able to fight it off when it’s Nick Diaz looking to sink it. I can see him keeping pace and trading blows for quite a while, though I feel Nick has the power and accuracy advantage, Carlos seems much younger in spirit and that can pull you through a tough fight, but Nick will get nasty if it gets tough, he will look to damage cartilage, I love everything about this fight…my biggest hope is that Nick doesn’t lose interest….he showed something just out of this world in the BJ fight….I’d like to see how far he can go with it….I think fighting like he did in that fight he would kill GSP
