Carlos Condit vs Johny Hendricks At UFC 158 After Rory MacDonald Hurt

Rory MacDonald is out of UFC 158 after he suffered a neck and back injury in training recently. Johny Hendricks will come in to fight Carlos Condit at Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, on March 16, 2013.


With the UFC wanting to keep Condit in a co-main event caliber fight, they quickly shuffled the deck and pulled Johny Hendricks out of his scheduled fight with Jake Ellenberger and slotted him in opposite Condit, according to a report by official MMAWeekly.com and later confirmed by UFC brass.

The fight with Hendricks, who is the No. 1 contender to winner of UFC 158’s headlining bout between St-Pierre and Nick Diaz, would be a critical victory for Condit and keep his name right at the top of the list for another shot at GSP.

Jake Ellenberger is now left to wait and see whom the UFC can line-up as a possible replacement.

I agree with the majority here so far. I’m guessing Hendricks is gonna go in looking for that bomb and get picked apart in the processes.

Hendricks is passed over for the title shot because GSP wants to fight Diaz, who clearly was outclassed by Condit. What a bunch of BS. I hope Hendricks beats Condit and then beats GSP. Then maybe weirdo Rory would fight for the title since he won’t do it as long as GSP is the champ. I don’t particularly dislike GSP or like Rory but I would like to see the division shaken up a bit.

Condit will try to run away as he does with strikers. Its going to be great to see hendricks stalk carlos “run” condit. When i saw carlos run from diaz and his back was acturally turned and running away i lost all respect for the guy who wouldnt give the fans a show and fight it out. Like greag “run” Jackson strategized the guida fight ..”run guida run!!!

@NotvinnieJones … dude.. I just don’t even have words for your opinion. Refer to hendrickswarmachine for the truth of carlos vs diaz. How you can win a round by landing 5 counter punches, a leg kick, and running away from your opponent for 4 1/2 minutes is beyond my ability to comprehend. Condit’s a bitch, and I hope hendricks gives him brain damage. Though I doubt it, sadly, because hes sooo good at running away.
