Gotta give kudos to Roy Nelson for standing with Dos Santos…Roy can take some serious punishment…the guy has a hell of a chin and quite a bit of padding in the midsection…Dos Santos has not even peaked yet…he is a very dangerous man! I watched this the day before the fight and immediately thought of Cain. These guys have the exact same tattoos as Cain. Makes you go hmmm. I think all the Mexican PR was thrust upon Cain for the Fox UFC debut. Cain always had the Mex flag mouth piece but not the full Mariachi experience. Mex fans demand fighters of Mex decent to display a certain amount of allegiance to Mexico. There was even a four hour documentary about Cain on Fox Deportes. I think Cain was pressured to make this display. When a fighter makes his entrance he should be excited, anticipating his turn in the ring his favorite song should be played to uplift his spirit. When Cain made his entrance he was clearly downtrodden. He seemed to just want to get it over with. No fighter can carry the weight of an entire race or RAZA. Cain should be allowed to be himself and get back to his winning ways.

Is there a reason everyone is acting as if the Lesner fight is a forgone conclusion? Overeem has shown nothing in his fights to think he will be able to handle the wrestling and physical dominance of a Brock Lesnar. Although I would love to see JDS hold the belt, Lesner is a bad match up for him and will be a very difficult fight.
Congrats to JDS and all his hard work, Cain got a little too confident in his stand up and paid the price. It may have been a different outcome had he immediately gone for the clinch and worked his grappling and wrestling (much like the Kongo fight). But thats easier said than done.

It’s too bad fans will have to wait for Overeem to take out Brock Les Nads before he can challenge Dos Santos. Hopefully, Overeem can do away with Lesnar in short order without taking any damage and get on with the show. This waiting many months for a 90 second fight is not good. Anyway, with Overeem, there is potential for Dos Santos to really show his full arsenal including his BJJ. I’m not sure he will be as anxious to stand with Overeem. Really, Lesnar should step aside and let that fight happen, as it should. Then, Lesnar can have his rematch with Valasquez, get his ass kicked again and go back to South Dakota and die.

Makes me wonder how bad Cain’s shoulder really is. I know, having torn both of my rotator cuffs, that the healing and rehab process can take years. You are hardly ever the same. In other sports it’s a career-ender. Big props to JDS. Great fighter and person. This is how the fight would have ended anyway in my opinion.

Props to JDS but that seemed just too easy. Something was not right with Cain. It should have been a more evenly balanced fight, but in the cage anything can happen, it just takes one strike, but Cain did not seem himself. Congrats to Dos Santos.

Nothing? Really? Overeem has good striking, evidenced by the fact that he is the K-1 Champ. Lesnar has shown that when he gets hit, he gets flustered. That’s a bad combination.
Lesnar definitely has a chance, but to say Overeem has shown nothing in his fights of how he could deal with Lesnar is largely inaccurate.

Wow what a bust…. Cannot believe that Cain was knocked down by that punch, and then submitted in the flurry after. If you notice, Junior didn’t hit him many times in the face when the fight went too the ground, infact Juniors initial flurry of lefts all hit Cain in the shoulder. Cain is soft, just like i thought. I can tell you don’t know much about mma. alistar is a good strong fighter (juiced up roid) however his boxing isn’t that good at all. Alistar got his ass kicked by Badr Hari in their rematch! Dos Santo’s boxing is way better than Alistair and surely cain has better wrestling than him. so its not gonna be as easy as you think.
