Look for Alistair Overeem to beat down any of these punks…you guys have no idea how powerful the Reem is….Enjoy the belt Dos Santos…because it will be gone faster than you can spell: Alistair Overeem…THE NEW UFC CHAMPION

I love both these fighters but I am very happy to see Jr Dos Santos get the win and the belt.Take nothing away from Cain but Jr is such a great guy and has suuuuch heavy hands boo yaaaaa!!!!!!

Romuro Says, in 11-12-2011 at 23:56:30 from

I understand that cain should at least acknowledge he was born and raised in an even better country… I understand the heritage pride, every body has their heritage pride, its human. But like Tito Ortiz did why not ALSO represent the country that offered you EVEN BETTER support in to the octagon… He has his right hand wrapped in Mexican, then Wrap your left with the Red, White & Blue!

That is what we are bro, MEXICAN AMERICAN!

Like he said, Cain will be back, no doubt about it… Congratulations to Brazil!!! Dos Santos is a true heavyweight champion.

Howe Says, in 11-12-2011 at 23:56:32 from

@Don Frye, well your name says a lot about you. I have hard times seeing Alistair either doing good on the UFC HW division or passing on the anti-doping tests, can I can see he easily failing on both. But in this sport anything can happen.
Congrats to dos Santos who did a great job.

Jake Says, in 11-13-2011 at 00:28:16 from

Didn’t Dana White say something like he’d be pissed or at least bummed if the fight lasted like 90 seconds? I thought I heard that in some interview somewhere…

chiroguy Says, in 11-13-2011 at 00:38:48 from

Sir Don Frye…anyone who chooses to stand with Dos Santos is going to sleep!!!

chiroguy Says, in 11-13-2011 at 00:50:44 from

Gotta give kudos to Roy Nelson for standing with Dos Santos…Roy can take some serious punishment…the guy has a hell of a chin and quite a bit of padding in the midsection…Dos Santos has not even peaked yet…he is a very dangerous man! By the way, he has a black belt in BJJ however because of his solid takedown defense, we haven’t seen very much of him on the ground! Cigano is for REAL!!!

@”Don Frye” hahahahahaha your serious? Remember when Overeem got KOd TWICE by Shogun. Got made a bitch by Liddell? And tapped to Werdum? All of them nothing compared to Dos Santos. Overeem is good, but Dos Santos is keeping that belt. For a LONG LONG TIME!

Gay (as in wack not 1950′s happy) ads by the way America, I feel sorry for y’all and the constant barrage of violence and patriotism you guys have to put up with around prime time.

cain was from strikforce too idiots

kbf Says, in 11-13-2011 at 08:42:13 from

I watched this the day before the fight and immediately thought of Cain. These guys have the exact same tattoos as Cain. Makes you go hmmm. I think all the Mexican PR was thrust upon Cain for the Fox UFC debut. Cain always had the Mex flag mouth piece but not the full Mariachi experience. Mex fans demand fighters of Mex decent to display a certain amount of allegiance to Mexico. There was even a four hour documentary about Cain on Fox Deportes. I think Cain was pressured to make this display. When a fighter makes his entrance he should be excited, anticipating his turn in the ring his favorite song should be played to uplift his spirit. When Cain made his entrance he was clearly downtrodden. He seemed to just want to get it over with. No fighter can carry the weight of an entire race or RAZA. Cain should be allowed to be himself and get back to his winning ways.

KillaB Says, in 11-13-2011 at 08:44:32 from

Is there a reason everyone is acting as if the Lesner fight is a forgone conclusion? Overeem has shown nothing in his fights to think he will be able to handle the wrestling and physical dominance of a Brock Lesnar. Although I would love to see JDS hold the belt, Lesner is a bad match up for him and will be a very difficult fight.

Congrats to JDS and all his hard work, Cain got a little too confident in his stand up and paid the price. It may have been a different outcome had he immediately gone for the clinch and worked his grappling and wrestling (much like the Kongo fight). But thats easier said than done.

Thanks Bruno, I appreciate all you do.

cvr Says, in 11-13-2011 at 09:59:26 from

ha couldnt be happier. the only thing that looked worse than cain getting his ass kicked was his lame walkout..

JoeDog Says, in 11-13-2011 at 10:02:08 from

It’s too bad fans will have to wait for Overeem to take out Brock Les Nads before he can challenge Dos Santos. Hopefully, Overeem can do away with Lesnar in short order without taking any damage and get on with the show. This waiting many months for a 90 second fight is not good. Anyway, with Overeem, there is potential for Dos Santos to really show his full arsenal including his BJJ. I’m not sure he will be as anxious to stand with Overeem. Really, Lesnar should step aside and let that fight happen, as it should. Then, Lesnar can have his rematch with Valasquez, get his ass kicked again and go back to South Dakota and die.

krothzvox Says, in 11-13-2011 at 10:10:27 from

This Gangland video has nothing to do with Cain.
But I do agree he walked out with fear already.

About Lernar or Reem, it should be an easy fight no matter he JDS gets.
Both of them can get a punch in the face. Both with soft chins.

McClinchey Says, in 11-13-2011 at 10:22:52 from

anyone notice how cain was tapping thats when big john ended the fight i have nothing wrong with tapping to strikes no one who doesnt fight should, but among fighters tapping out to strikes is looked down on, but i think the whole mma world should stand up and take note that jds made cain tap out due to strikes because cains known as this supermotivated never stop till he dies guy. So it shows how scary JDS is.

bjj…! Says, in 11-13-2011 at 10:32:41 from

I dont think any of you guys that are saying that OVEREEM will destroy JDS watched OVEREEM last 3 fights… he looked like s***.. if he beats Brock that will be a big accomplishment for him.. He will NOT beat JDS

coutura Says, in 11-13-2011 at 11:12:50 from

this is the reason ufc fighters will never get paid like boxers this fight was garbage

armdaddy5691 Says, in 11-13-2011 at 11:23:16 from

Makes me wonder how bad Cain’s shoulder really is. I know, having torn both of my rotator cuffs, that the healing and rehab process can take years. You are hardly ever the same. In other sports it’s a career-ender. Big props to JDS. Great fighter and person. This is how the fight would have ended anyway in my opinion.

mmafan Says, in 11-13-2011 at 11:23:36 from

Props to JDS but that seemed just too easy. Something was not right with Cain. It should have been a more evenly balanced fight, but in the cage anything can happen, it just takes one strike, but Cain did not seem himself. Congrats to Dos Santos.

BrotherButthead Says, in 11-13-2011 at 11:52:45 from

haha, I called it. Me and Bruno both

BrotherButthead Says, in 11-13-2011 at 11:59:16 from

I don’t know guys… Uberroid is tailor made to take the strap from a stand up fighter. And really that’s the fight I want to see now. After what JDS has shown against wrestlers I think it IS a foregone conclusion what would happen between him and Lesnar.

M Says, in 11-13-2011 at 12:29:22 from

” Overeem has shown nothing in his fights to think he will be able to handle the wrestling and physical dominance of a Brock Lesnar ”

Nothing? Really? Overeem has good striking, evidenced by the fact that he is the K-1 Champ. Lesnar has shown that when he gets hit, he gets flustered. That’s a bad combination.

Lesnar definitely has a chance, but to say Overeem has shown nothing in his fights of how he could deal with Lesnar is largely inaccurate.

Kakihara Says, in 11-13-2011 at 12:36:34 from

If anyone of you fools think Cain Velasquez has a better stand up game than Alistair Overeem or any K1 or ex K1 fighter then you are highly dilusional…even Mirko (in his downfall) lasted more against Dos Santos than Cain did… As for Alistair vs Dos santos fight, im a fan of both, but dont think cause Dos Santos rocked and beat up an overrated CV with ease, then its gonna be the same story against Alistair who is a high level striker… because its not. As i said before i like both guys and maybe Junior will win, but its not gonna be as easy as some of you fools build it up to be.

Kakihara Says, in 11-13-2011 at 12:41:55 from

After Alistair kicks the crap out of Lensar, he is gonna be tested with the real deal…

mrl Says, in 11-13-2011 at 12:55:20 from

You don’t see this kind of brown, black, white, oriental divisions in Brazil. In Brazil you have cultural divisions but it’s not fueled by hatred of others. In Brazil if a man was walking down the street with “brown pride” on his chest Brazilian’s would think the man was either a racist or just peculiar. (per my wife) Why we let the “powers that be” create divisions among us based on how we look is beyond me. Brainwashed sheep!

africaunity Says, in 11-13-2011 at 13:07:10 from

In both MMA and boxing heavyweight divisions are a joke
I am a boxing fan and the HW division is horrible.I see the same thing in MMA
As soonas on e guy is good he is introduced as the greatest
We saw this with Fedor, then with Carwin and Velasquez and with Dos santos
It will be the same.I think he will be quickly defeated and forgotten
This si normal.MMA is a new sport which is popular
It needs champions but I don’t think Dos Santos is that great
He is a very good athlete but not a legend
Remember a great who has just died;Mr Joe Frazier, a true legend , a real warrior
We’ll see if tose MMA guys are really true champions in difficult and tough fights

Vinvincible Says, in 11-13-2011 at 13:11:55 from

shocktime Says, in 11-13-2011 at 13:45:29 from

Cain lost this fight when he walked out to that Mexican Ice Cream Truck music. I mean there is absolutely no way he was gonna be Cigano who walked out to the Rocky Theme. Rocky Music Vs. Mexican Ice Cream Truck? Rocky wins 100% of the time.

mscash Says, in 11-13-2011 at 15:40:23 from

Don Frye, are you stoned? Me too … lol

Seriously, the Reem gases as fast as that freak Lesnar. I want to see those real life “action figures” swing it out for at least three minutes.

The hype for FOX and the UFC will be monumental.

Then Cigano knocks which-ever action figure wins that fight the F*** out; next fight.

VisionQuest Says, in 11-13-2011 at 15:45:55 from

Cain says he hated all the promotions and just wanted to fight. He said he would just show up and fight with Ariel Hawani….So, it kind of hinted that he had a bad camp, or had his mind not in the right place.

It was pretty obvious. He got caught, by a punch that has been defended against since Chuck Liddell finally stopped winning with it, lol. Wasn’t thinking…Dos Santos wasnt even warmed up yet, lol

Wow what a bust…. Cannot believe that Cain was knocked down by that punch, and then submitted in the flurry after. If you notice, Junior didn’t hit him many times in the face when the fight went too the ground, infact Juniors initial flurry of lefts all hit Cain in the shoulder. Cain is soft, just like i thought. Either that or JDS has incredible power.

akmd2006 Says, in 11-13-2011 at 17:44:21 from

“cigano” ia a great fighter but cain should have won this. he was totally out of his element, something didnt seem right with him even when he tried to take down junior it seemed slow motion. He took too much time off and had alot of ring rust. I do believe cain will work his way back and eventually defeat dos santos.

@ Don Frye just by you saying “Look for Alistair Overeem to beat down any of these punks”
you call Dos Santos and Cain Clown fighters? haha you are in la la land kid.
I can tell you don’t know much about mma. alistar is a good strong fighter (juiced up roid) however his boxing isn’t that good at all. Alistar got his ass kicked by Badr Hari in their rematch! Dos Santo’s boxing is way better than Alistair and surely cain has better wrestling than him. so its not gonna be as easy as you think.
