Cain Velasquez vs Antonio Silva 2 I am not feeling this fight going to be a hard sell concidering what Cain did in very recent history to Silva.I think Alistair did not take his fight with Silva serious and by that mistake he got tagged by a big shot and was defeated now to me that does not make you the number one guy to challenge for the belt. Now what will sell this card is Alistair Overeem vs Junior dos Santos this fight is what you want to watch both fighters last fights was ugly displays for them JDS looked terrable in his fight with Cain and Alistair did not take his fight serious and paid the price lossing Silva. Now the winner of this fight will get his status back as number one contender to the title. JDS only man to defeat Cain if Alistair beats him he is right inline for a title fight. If JDS wins he is the man to knock Cain out so defeating Alistair will be his one come back fight to challenge for the belt again just as Cain had to fight Silva to get his rematch against JDS. Now as far as who will win

Cain vs Silva (winner) Cain

JDS vs Overeem (winner) JDS

Cain will take Silva again Cain is just to fast for silva cain will close the distance quickly to aviod the big power shots of silva. This fight will go to the ground where Cain will unleash the ground and pound. On the ground the reach and size that Silva has over Cain is voided out. Cain would be crazy to stand and trade with Silva we just seen what that gets you Silva has power you have to respect that. Cain knows what that one lucky power punch can do to you. So look for 5 rounds of Ground and pound from Cain.

JDS will as always look to keep this fight standing. Overeem does not have the take downs that Cain has or the gas tank to keep going for the take downs. I see this fight going just like Frank Mir vs JDS Overeem is a better striker then Mir hands down but there speed is the same JDS will move in and out and his boxing will get him a win by knock out. JDS will quickly move in throw 3 strike and get out before Overeem can engage the clinch.

Gogator has shows some insight on what he’s talking about. All though I agree with what he says. The flip side of that coin is: Bigfoot has apx four months to train on defending the take down and standing up from a take down. I think smart man would take full advantage of his situation.

“Didn’t Read, LOL”

(or simply “Didn’t Read”) is a slang expression commonly used in response to someone else’s post that is deemed long or uninteresting, quite similar to the usage of the term TL;DR. It is typically iterated either in the form of reply comments or animated GIFs of people dancing in a nonchalant manner.

@ Iron_Cobra I agree that Gogator has some insight. His first long paragraph pretty much sums it all up. However, the speculation as to whats going to happen in the upcoming fights is just that…speculation. When or if I ever come across an individual who’s fight predictions are right 100% of the time, I will take that person’s opinion about upcoming fights serious. Until then, everyone has their breakdown of upcoming fights but none of them have any value. Who predicted a KO of Overoid by Silva at the beginning of the 3rd round and that Cain would give JDS a beating for 5 rounds in a fight that would go to a decision? Show me a guy who accurately predicted those outcomes and I might put some weight on any future fight predictions he may have.

Silva cannot keep Cain’s pace. It is what Fedor did when he was young and healthy, he kept and unforgivable pace. It is much like Edgar does but their is a big difference when the 240 plus pounds are there. Cain shall bring the pain. Alistair depends on how determined he is.

i love how ppl have an excueses for every time big foot wins.

give the man his due, he has wins over big names and talented fighters.

he has shown heart by coming back from a beatdown in the Mike Kyle fight, to win by ko.

his only lost in the ufc is to the best HW in the world.

his wins include
Fedor,Overeem,Arlovski,Ricco Rodriguez and Travis Browne.

his losses are to
Cain Velasquez,Daniel Cormier,Fabricio Werdum.
with 18–4 recored

better record thin most who have gotten title shots in the last few years.

If the Overeem that was in the K1 Grand Prix shows up. Overeem will be the hw champ for a long time. im not talking about this hands down, luring guys in bs. when Alistair has his gaurd up and is in tight throwing crisp punches, forget it. he will see the openings in jds stand up and can land shots that will ko anyone.

Yomommamoto Norifumi Says, in 2-13-2013 at 22:20:19 from

No one retains anything that long let alone reads it in the 1st place.

Word of advice, not trying to be smart assed, but if you are going to put that much effort into a post firstly – use spacing. Secondly use a simple spell check before posting.

I realise that Eng. could be your 2nd language but c’mon dude when I start reading something like that by the end of it reading not only the amount but types of spelling mistakes I dunno if I trust your fight analysis.

That maybe lame/judgemental however as I’m sure Mike Tyson probs would make a few spelling and grammar errors in writing.

Anyway stoked JDS Vs. Overeem is going to happen.

Watching that recent vlog of Dana White’s you saw a really revealing insight into what appeared to be a moment of unusual (in terms of the always trying to come across super calm and composed Overeem we all get in front of the cameras) anxiety and well, down right scaredness before a big fight which you forget is totally normal even or (maybe especially?) at this level of MMA.

Some like Fedor or Crocop knew how to supress it to the extent they looked meditative or serene while others often get animal fury on it like Wanderlei but to achieve the same thing – ending up “in the zone” to fight.

I think Silva Vs. Velasquez II is warranted/legit just as JDS Vs. Velasquez II was.

I’m glad JDS is fighting Overeem too as they will both be fighting from having been set back in major but repairable ways.

There are so many “super fights” I wish could have happened (mainly involving Fedor) in this weight category mix so it’s good to see some coming together at HW:

Fedor Vs. Cain
Fedor Vs. Cormier
Fedor Vs. Overeem
Fedor Vs. JDS
Cain Vs. Cormier (if this was to happen)
Cain Vs. Overeem
JDS Vs. Cormier
JDS Vs. Silva
Silva Vs. Cormier

Will/would have been interesting to watch.

Hey people, their are no rules that say you have to be brief. Gogators had something to say and he expressed himself very well. If you can read a few lines, then you certainly can’t get through a regular book. I don’t think that would earn anyone’s respect.

Hey @Yomommamoto. Nice contradiction in your first sentence. That’s interesting. You criticize someone for writing a long post, and then you do the same. You have no credibility.

By the way. There weren’t that many spelling errors in gogator’s analysis. Just an fyi….:)

I love a good upset, let’s see if Bigfoot can do it once more. I’m kinda rootin for him to shock the world again. Wouldn’t that be crazy. He knows Cain is going to take him down, it would be cool to see him go for a triangle

I think both these fights should leave no doubt who the #1 and #2 guys are in the HWD. Cain tko 2cnd round . JDS, Overeem can go either way. Both fighters have somthing to prove and need to display their SKILLZ.
