It’s hard to bet on either guy. Both are serious, capable, skilled and fit. Not a negative word from either camp, both guys are good-spirited respectful atheletes. Just the same, I’m guessing one of them will go out long before the 5th round. The only question I have is Valaquez shoulder. Having had a similar procedure, I question his durablity.

Hard to argue these aren’t the number 1 and 2 heavyweights on the planet based on their record, who they fought and the manner in which they won. Cain is a wrecking machine and won’t stop unless you can somehow put him away. SO stoked for this match, I hope this match gets more people interested in the sport.

I expect Junior to knock Cain out, but Velasquez is a tremendous champion and I will just be happy to see this fight. I agree wholeheartedly with Oswald and others above that it is refreshing when both fighters are respectful well rounded athletes and all that remains is a great scrap to look forward to.

The clash of the titans, Cain will take it to the ground and finish via ground and pound is my prediction, but JDS has a chance if he can land a solid bomb late in the fight.

Having encountered Cain on multiple occasions, I can tell you this guy is a classy, humble and smart dude. Both are at the top of the class as far as sportsmen go. I hope the injury doesn’t play a part. No matter what the result, I can’t wait for both of their next fights.

I would not put any money on this fight. Really tough one to call. I do think JDS looks more confident in his interviews though, but Cain is a beast.

both great guys. no way this goes five rounds. someone gets kayoed, submitted, grounded and pounded, whatever. too big, too much skill, both guys who fight to win. this one should live up to the hype and then some.
