Just a great super heavyweight fight that you would never get to see under UFC fight criteria. There will soon be another fight organization that will let these big guys go at it. M-1 is expected to put on fights that are exciting but doesn’t meet the normal weight requirements.

how the hell do you say anderson silva is overrated due to lack of submissions. if he can punch, kick, and knee people into unconciousness and he chooses to do that over using his jits thats his perogative. he is a bjj black belt and has an awesome guard

Anderson silva’s ground game is solid. Having long limbs definitely helps him when the opponent is in his guard. With a black belt in bjj, flexibility to utilize the rubber guard, and long ass legs to get a “body triangle” (like the triangle choke but around the opponents midsection rather then neck/shoulder) no one he’ll b fighting for years to come will be able to ground and pound or submit him. Oh yeah, and even if u look at his record he’s only been submitted twice. One of ‘em was just absurd as well… I mean c’mon, who the hell does a scissor leg take down and locks in the heel hook b4 his opponent hits the mat.

Are you serious? Anderson Silva is amazing. His fight with Franklin, Leben, Marquardt, and Lutter all amazed me. He showed excellent counters, striking, and guard in all of his fights. When he reversed the takedown on Marquardt it proved how versatile he is with his BJJ. He put Travis Lutter in a triangle and forced him to tap. And his fights with Leben and Franklin just showed his most powerful weapon, his muay thai.
