The Fight Network previews fight cards taking place this weekend including Lucian Bute vs. Glen Johnson for Bute’s IBF super middleweight title, plus a look at UFC 138: Chris Leben vs. Mark Munoz.
The UFC 138 coverage begins at the 10:55 mark for those that don’t care about the boxing news.
This will by far Bute’s toughest test. Johnson may be getting up there in age, but he is still dangerous.. Bute has been looking phenomenal in his recent fights tho. Also Angulo is fighting Kirkland this Saturday. All in all, a great night of fights..
Bute is a great boxer and has some great technic but his fight Magee he got caught alot of times with the left hand.It might’ve been that Bute isn’t used to fight southpaw vs southpaw but he still got hit a couple of times.Johnson is also a better boxer then Magee.I still think Bute will win but Johnson is definetly the biggest challenge yet even if he’s 42.
I’m still bummed that Pavlik didnt signed the contract.Bute and his camp talked about fighting Kessler but after that they were closer to get Pavlik but the fight didn’t get signed because Pavlik wasn’t ready.I think Bute can beat Pavlik and anyone in the Super 6 but he doesn’t get alot of coverage in the USA so he isn’t popular enough for them.
I’d like to see Bute fight outside of Canada and see how well he does, I think he would still do well. I like him though, his fights are entertaining, especially the first Andrade fight, hmmm lol.. After Bhop dismantled Pavlik I think he’s about done, but ya never know..
