MAN, 185-19-12 he’s like the jeremy horn of muay thai, then again, in thailand it’s common for fighters to have such a large number of fights. Thais start young and dominate the lighter weight classes. Brazil has bjj practicioners in every corner while Thailand has Muay thai practicioners in every corner (figuire of speech).

Buakaw was in control that whole fight, he controlled the distance and picked his shots. His opponent seemed jumpy and throwing whenever Buakaw got close.

Buakaw is a great K1 fighter though people seem to pump him up to be this stellar muay thai fighter. Having trained with a fighter who has given Buakaw 2 of his 19 losses, I know for a fact that his muay thai is not stellar in the context of MT rules. He gets beat in the clinch and was not such a successful MT fighter as he is K1 fighter. Nonetheless, people revere the guy.

I went to an event that sold out immediately because one of buakaw’s students was in the event and by proxy he was immediately a celebrity. Crazy Thais!

Buakaw refused to be in Contenders as long as Yod was in there. Yod was ranked higher and is considered better in Thailand.
