i have to admit he’s the real deal. it sucks though, the guys done more cycles than the tour de france. he’s really fast for a big man. he’s just so f ing big. i just hate everything he represents. i was hoping he’d lose. he still had to go to the judges. i could only see verdum or nog beating him maybe. who’s left in the ufc in the heavies to beat this guy?

Csari0 Says, in 8-10-2008 at 01:56:06 from

Wow.. I was very impressed with Brock. If he keeps on improving he’ll turn to a monster… It’s really hard for any one to fight a guy that is powerful and fast… look at GSP. We he’s on the ground he’s so powerful and fast it’s hard to escape.

I respect Brock for taking MMA serious, and not making his MMA career a circus.

Ozinator Says, in 8-10-2008 at 01:57:16 from

When a UFC fighter acts like a little kid by pointing and saying “ha ha ha”, it makes you wonder if the guy was method acting when he was in the WWE. I haven’t seen that type of immaturity since Baroni’s UFC days.

Having said that, The dude looks unstoppable but I wonder if he’ll ever be able to finish someone

whitey Says, in 8-10-2008 at 02:07:00 from

Every replay after the fight was that first right hand. That’s because the fight was mostly lay ‘n pray (with the exception of a couple punch/hammer fists and knees). Lesnar is a lame fighter to watch. Plus he’s a prick (unprovoked shoving after the 1st bell, riding and waving like a 2 year old just before the last). I hope someone with some real stand up knocks him the f*&^ out. I would *love* to see that.

JM-Helo Says, in 8-10-2008 at 02:15:03 from

What is there to say about this really? Lesnar seems like a big guy who can hit hard with really good wrestling. That’s it. He’s Coleman from his UFC days. He’ll be exposed (again) shortly.

Now — Watch Fedor’s fight with Heath and compare the two. They are both thrashings but one is DEFINATELY a professional thrashing. The other is just a big guy throwing hammer fists in every direction.

total domination. everyone shut up about the lesnar sucks comments. this man is 4 real. a true force to be reckoned with in the heavyweights. u couldnt pay me to fight this man. i give it 2 years and he will be champ and have a ground and pound like no other.

dazedandconfused Says, in 8-10-2008 at 02:25:24 from

Brock don’t have near enough experience to compare him to Fedor yet. Plus your not going to beat a Sambo master like Fedor with wrestling and ground and pound. Too easy to get put in an armbar.

MMApunk Says, in 8-10-2008 at 02:36:04 from

This was simply hand on the belly-button and one on the elbow type of wrestling. It’s boring (and that’s saying something considering that I’ve wrestled for a decade of my life)! Sorry, but for Lesnar training at this level and being the physical specimen that he already is, and for already having such an elite wrestling background on top of that, the bottom line is that he looked pretty bad! He should be further along in his development of MMA skills! He should at least know how to apply a rear naked choke (which he had ample opportunity to do). I literally taught my 4 year old cousin a RNC and an arm bar in less than an hour of practicing. Riding a guy’s ass the entire fight just to control him just doesn’t do it for me. All yeah, then there’s the school yard bully antics, “Ha Ha I beat you…….Nah-Nah Nah-Nah”. That s*** was ridiculous! Seriously Unimpressed in all ways!

WTF Says, in 8-10-2008 at 02:37:27 from

Man, when I first saw Lesnar fight MMA. I said this guy has potential. Even in the Mir fight(which he was winning) when he lost. I thought the boy was gonna be great in a few years. He should be a UFC champion sooner than later. He’s improved so rapidly in such a little time.

The Haymaker Says, in 8-10-2008 at 02:42:22 from

You guys have to give Brock credit though, this is only his 3rd fight. I think it’s a little early to be comparing him to Fedor. He’ll be fun to watch though, if he can continue to improve. Thanks for the video, by the way.

KJC Says, in 8-10-2008 at 03:04:16 from

Are you guys forgetting this is his 3rd MMA bout? And this one is against the guy who just beat Kongo, who was, I would think, getting close to a title shot. The dude still totally dominated Herring..and to the last guy who posted, throwing hammer fists in every direction? Did you even watch the whole fight? I think he did more knees to the body than anything else. And ya, comparing him to Fedor, who has been fighting his entire life? Please.

side-control-nightmare Says, in 8-10-2008 at 03:06:55 from

t dog Says, in 8-10-2008 at 03:22:42 from

Cmon guys, Herring is no push over. He is a good fighter, and yet in his 3rd MMA fight, he dominated him. Brock is big, but he’s no dummy. Obviously, he isn’t the greatest on the bottom. That’s why he stuck to what made him a champion: wrestling. He got caught in that fight against Frank Mir (an incredible performance, even though he lost) so he played it safe this time and did what he had to in order to secure the win. Wrestle. He knows it like the back of his hand.

reddhelium Says, in 8-10-2008 at 03:36:26 from

yeah it was boring, but he manhandled herring.

brock should work on some basic submissions. he couldve applied a choke on several occasions.

mmalove Says, in 8-10-2008 at 03:38:51 from

Props to Heath, and congrats to Brock. But Brock couldn’t finish the fight. If this was a title match 5 rounds, it would have been very boring. Once he gets them on the ground, he still doesn’t know what to do with them, except hold him down. I guess with enough jujitsu it would help him finish with submissions or locks. That would make him a more rounded fighter…

huan Says, in 8-10-2008 at 03:39:59 from

Steamer Bean Says, in 8-10-2008 at 03:58:44 from

Lesnar just needs to keep training. Though the fight was boring at times, the punch in Rd.1 showed what he’s capable of. For such a big guy he’s incredibly agile and fast. I may have talked my share of s*** about pro wrestlers trying to break into MMA, but im eating those words right now, Lesnar is a dangerous man, and will only get better.

Chicagojeff Says, in 8-10-2008 at 04:11:33 from

Utter domination of a legit MMA fighter. Brock really showed his quickness. I liked him throwning the knees and using them to the back.. thats improvement. The guy is a force.. forget all the silliness..in the octagon that guy is gonne only get better..

Mag Says, in 8-10-2008 at 04:25:31 from

Brock is the real deal. Gotta admit that. Didn’t like how he carried on though. With more training he’ll be a real force for the title, but I really don’t like his style. Though his style is brilliant for the cage so he’ll be hard to stop.

I’m just buggin

It does not matter if he was in the WWE,MMA is real fighting and Lesnars size 4X hands are the real thing.
Its to bad a lot of MMA fans have to talk crap about a lot of good fighters.

Brock Lesnar is the man. All of these skinny bitch critics sitting in front of their computers talking s*** need to shut the F*** up and ask their mom for some milk and cookies before they go to sleep. Brock decimated a man that has been in the MMA world for a long time and fought the best of the best. This man is a true althetic specimen that will rise in the heavyweight division and in the MMA rankings. Ive always liked Brock since his wrestling days and will continue to do so. Keep charging on and dominiating Brock.

kaotika Says, in 8-10-2008 at 07:15:16 from

I was hoping for Heath to win. There’s credit due for Lesnar’s dominance but I don’t see a good reason why this fight went to a decision. Not for someone with Lesnar’s background and athletic prowess. Better luck next time to the Texas Crazy Horse.

KOB Says, in 8-10-2008 at 07:47:05 from

Great right hand by Lesnar. Dipped the shoulder, & came over the top. How can any body be so critical? It’s only his 3rd mma event & he fought a guy who has a ton of experience.

How can you hate on a dude that fights because he wants to ? Lesnar doesn’t need the money and if he wanted to he could have stayed in the WWE and kept cashing checks. You hate everything he stands for ? OK so you also hate some of the sports all-time greats like Randy Couture , Marc Coleman and Matt Hughes ( collegiate wrestlers that went on to have success in MMA). That being said you should hate a bumb ass dude like Kimbo Slice … Lesnar just fought his third pro fight and fought a former champ in Frank Mir and a 12 yr veteran ( who’s fought the who’s who of heavyweights ) in Keith Herring. He might be the best natural athlete to ever make the transition to MMA. If he gets the right camp and improves he could be a legitimate champ.

gunnyhighway99 Says, in 8-10-2008 at 09:16:33 from

Boring fight, even though Lesnar was effective in executing his game plan. I’ve never seen Rogan and Goldberg (I assume) kiss a fighter’s ass so much, especially a fighter who has yet to win in the octagaon.

Lasnar takes his back – no hooks, no submission. Lesnar has a full-mount, no attacks no G&P no offensive. Lesnar has his back again, no hooks, no locks, no submission. He should have ended that fight in the first round – with all those opportunities in every round what does he do? …nothing. Boring ass fighter with no brains and no strategy and no skills.

gobacktoshowbiz Says, in 8-10-2008 at 09:47:44 from

I have to say, I was really impressed with Lesnar’s power and speed, but, the way he acted last night was so disgusting and childish and at certain point, I thought that I was watching something else; I noticed couple times that he was laughing at Herring, and yes, you don’t disrespect your opponent like that. I hope that Herring takes this chance to improve his ground game skills and rechallenge Lesnar.

couture Says, in 8-10-2008 at 10:18:03 from

man this fight was fix heat herring is better than this for some reason he was holding back

darkmetal Says, in 8-10-2008 at 10:21:20 from

People need to stop whining about Lesnar and understand that he has the basics of MMA down pretty solid. He can hit hard (Herring looked like he was hit by a car in the first round), is a totally dominant wrestler, and has unparalleled power, speed, and endurance.
His weaknesses are obvious in the fact he didn’t finish Herring early. He doesn’t know how to finish at this stage. He had several chances to secure a Kimura, had full mount at least twice but didn’t “posture up” and throw elbows, ect. Had he done those things he would have finished Herring in the 2nd round in my opinion.

Daniyal Says, in 8-10-2008 at 10:24:47 from

WOW! This fight says a lot about the heavies in the UFC.. they need to re-vamp this division if Herring was considered a challenger for the title he got dominated by Lesnar who at times looked clueless. The fight should’ve been over in the first minute after Lesnar knocked him down he should’ve finished Herring and then missed out several opportunities to choke out Herring. The UFC Heavyweight division is pathetic.

awsit Says, in 8-10-2008 at 11:16:57 from

once brock has more fights and calms down instead of having the first couple fight jitters he will be virtually unstoppable because if he decides what shot he wants to pick he will be able to do it noone is stoppin this guy i would say his next fight is either against werdum or kongo

greatking Says, in 8-10-2008 at 11:19:52 from

If Brock continues to improve, as he has, I think he will be a great opponent for Fedor, in three years. His fighting style will be a great mach for against Fedor, look at the Mark Coleman fight. He was beating Fedor until he got caught in that arm bar and Brock style is very similar to Mark’s, so we’ll see in 3 years if I’m right or wrong.

Brock, improve your submission defense and submission offense and you’ll be champion soon.

Rick Says, in 8-10-2008 at 11:23:51 from

It would have been a mistake for him to go to the back. Herring is experienced enough to escape it, he already had great control where he was and he was doing damage.

Principal Skinner Says, in 8-10-2008 at 11:46:41 from

Lesnar showed some impressive improvement in this fight and his size and strength were obviously overbearing on Herring.
That said, I think Lesnar is on the road to title contention….but only because the heavyweight division in the UFC is weak…compared to Affliction’s heavies.

Hopefully, Mir, Nogeira and Werdum can keep Lesnar in the bottom rungs of the UFC hierarchy. I’d hate to see a clown like him as champ. Save the pointing and laughing for the jungle gym.

The man Says, in 8-10-2008 at 11:49:10 from

Zescape Says, in 8-10-2008 at 13:21:10 from

Lesnar will never beat a BJJ black belt. Therefore, he can’t beat the top contenders or the champ right now (Mir, Werdum, and Big Nog). Dana will keep feeding him strikers with poor takedown defense (Herring).

They’re getting rid of pretty much all of the lay and prey fighters in the UFC, except Lesnar. Apparently, when he does it, it’s exciting.

i don’t know personally brock lesnar or enough about him to hate him.
but i do know what i saw.
aside from a spectacular opening punch, his fight and fighting style is monodimensional and, personally, boring to watch.
‘not finishing a fight’ has nothing to do with how boring a fight is.
some of the best fights i have seen went to the judges.
even with a 10 kg+ weight advantage and a mounted position for most of the fight, lesnar was not able to do, or even try to do, much.
his adolescent behavior at the end was pathetic.

Tong_Po Says, in 8-10-2008 at 16:38:33 from

As for being top 5 or top 10 heavyweight? He has a lot of potential but Brock needs to learn subs to finish the fight. He had Herring’s back practically the whole fight but never even tried to stick the hooks in to get a choke. He dominates certainly with his size and wrestling, and reminds me a lot of Dan Severn (who was also a dominant wrestler) but boring to watch. But if he continues to learn some stand-up (with those big ass hands) and defend and learn to sub he will certainly be a more exciting fighter to watch and a top fighter in this division.

gspisgod Says, in 8-10-2008 at 16:40:27 from

If Lesnar had any BJJ skills he could have finished the fight at anytime. He had dominant position the entire fight and didn’t even attempt one. Then the circus after the fight, come on. Dana hand picked this fight, knowing heath has zero ground skills.

Icexi Says, in 8-10-2008 at 17:07:51 from

Just imagine if lesnar were to learn jiu jitsu, or some kind of ground game that would make him completely insane! but on the real note, i dont know why your all hating on lesnars inability to finish, its his third fight of his career, in time we will all see the chokes and armbars.

on a side note, how can you compare lesnar and kimbo. you all saw kimbo fall to the ground from exhaustion in the third round when he “knocked out” thompson. kimbo is weak, and lesnar would send him home packing

Niv Says, in 8-10-2008 at 17:16:46 from

I have to give credit where credit is due. I was one of the guys voting for Herring, but Lesnar showed some great athleticism and strength totally overpowering Herring.

He still has a long way to go, but he has proven he will be a dangerous opponent for almost anyone in the HW division.

As for the Fedor comparisons, don’t waste your time. Lesnar with all of his strength and athleticism does not have the time to catch up to the game Fedor has spent a lifetime developing. Fedor’s a strong as they come and has every tool you would want to have as a fighter.

Having said all of that, whoever stated earlier don’t compare Kimbo to Lesnar is absolutely right, the guy has asked for tough competition and they’re giving it to him. Kimbo gets nobody’s and everyone thinks he’s the man.

HallStyle Says, in 8-10-2008 at 17:49:46 from

Rio_warrior Says, in 8-10-2008 at 18:03:46 from

GracieJiujitsuFighter Says, in 8-10-2008 at 18:45:52 from

Lesner just needs to get more jiu jitsu training and maybe just ,maybe he’ll have a future in this sport. but has got to get over this WWE attitude! MMA don’t need childish antics like riding dudes ass like a bull in the end! show a little more respect for other fighters.

Feedmont Says, in 8-10-2008 at 18:56:27 from

Good fight, Lesnar is definitely gonna be a force in this division and the more experience the better. The Right Hand was brutal and that spear attempt afterward would have been awesome had he hit Herring flush with it. I’d really like to see Brock keep it standing in his next fight because he clearly has punching power and should focus more on that as well as the jiu jitsu. I’d love to see him fight either Kongo or O’Brien next.

Its his 3rd fight dumb shits were u realy exspecting him to come out with a full mma arsenal he did an awsome job for this being his THIRD fight and second acual challenge

whitey Says, in 8-10-2008 at 23:02:55 from

Lesnar will never be a champion fighter or have a full enough mma arsenal to get him to that point. His soul is too full of arrogance and disrespect. He loves himself, not fighting. Look how he treats others whom he beats.

Martial arts is about more then skill or size. It is about the heart, the discipline, the respect. If Lesnar is as immature as this at his age and with his life experience, he’ll never be champion material. Champions like Lesnar do not exist.

He’ll beat some of the lower fighters on the rung with his brute strength and athleticism. But it takes more then that to be a champion.

I for one can not wait to watch top notch opponent knock him TFO.

ACOSTA Says, in 8-11-2008 at 00:18:02 from

If u don’t got the tools u don’t come into a professional fight ,so that “its just his 3rd fight”its a totally BS.Oh,and H.H never was that great(even though he won a few fights against some good fighters)i wouldn’t say Lesnar its a prodigy because he won(specially by justlaying on top of H.H for most of the fight).

dEMIURGE Says, in 8-11-2008 at 00:45:10 from

before my comments, i would like to tip my hat off to bruno. thanks for all the videos. you rock mate!!
we have to admit that lesnar has a potential, but he should quit his childish antics. mma is not wwe. grow up. and he’s too far to be compared to the likes of fedor

Corey Says, in 8-11-2008 at 03:24:05 from

You can never compare Brock to Fedor. Watch fedor’s first three fights… that man came out of his momma a beast. brock has a s*** ton of training yet, for his size/strength and how he controlled the fight in full mount, and had his back… he should’ve been able to end the fight every round, sometimes twice. Boy needs to learn some BJJ with that wrestling, you don’t pin your opponents in MMA. This isnt *professional* wrestling

mmaddict Says, in 8-11-2008 at 05:22:59 from

Lesnar has alot to learn….i mean he could have finished the fight when heath went down after being hit by lesnar’s enormous hands…..he charge right in right after heath went down(those were WWE kinda moves.)Lesnar needs to learn JJ and also GnP.

brock lesnar Says, in 8-11-2008 at 06:33:01 from

i’m the best ever!! i’ll fight couture and fedor at the same time!!! coleman’s lucky he got hurt. brock lesnar needs no groung game, brock lesnar’s g-n-p is the best. all other heavyweights are skinny punks. am i champ yet??

Robert Says, in 8-11-2008 at 15:39:41 from

I’m not suprised AT ALL. I knew that if he had more experience and training he’d be great in MMA. Good job, Brock.

kowe Says, in 8-11-2008 at 15:43:00 from

He’s not ready for a title fight, but he’s improving. He’s not the best yet, but can be one of the best. I wouldn’t say he wasn’t playing it smart in this fight. He needed this win to stay in the UFC. His plan was to overpower Herring, and he did just that. True he could’ve done more to finish it, but he still displayed knees to body (which really hurt Herring) and even showed some leg kicks. He may have been hesitant to go all out because he made that mistake with Mir in his first UFC match and got caught. I’d say he played it smarter this time. For those who are still not giving him even a little credit after this win, I think you should think about why you’re hating on him. Is it just because he used to be with the WWE? he’s moved past that. You should too. Did he outmatch (overpower) Herring in this fight? If your answer is yes, then give him some credit. Some people are hating on him because he didn’t start as an MMA fighter and they feel he’s intruding on the sport. Grow up. He’s taking this seriously (minus the taunts). Remove your blinders and take note of the effort. I’ve stopped watching WWE a long time ago, but it’s always good to see someone transition from the WWE and step into real fighting. It shows how much they really want to fight.

markusx2468 Says, in 8-11-2008 at 15:53:55 from

this fight was very frustrating to watch. heath just couldn’t answer lesners one weapon. As i was watching this, i was thinking: Lesnar needs to fight a stand up fighter that can sprawl and force him to stand. and the first one that came to mind was Cro Cop. (or atleast the old cro cop). that’d be a good fight IMO

MMAGiantSilva Says, in 8-11-2008 at 16:50:38 from

Hey Bruno, thanks bro!! if it asn’t for you I ould not be as educated about current MMA.

well hat can you say about this match, I hate WWE but Brock looked good. I wanted him to look bad but he looked good.

I feel he will get exposed again like Mir did. But Heavyweights will be a little scared he is a big tough dude.

cory Says, in 8-11-2008 at 16:55:44 from

let him fight fedor!!! right f***** now

Norman945 Says, in 8-11-2008 at 19:43:04 from

It’s too soon to say how good or bad he’ll be. It’s an odd phenomenon, but in my experience, fighters don’t always improve beyond a certain point. I have no idea yet where that point will occur. Heath Herring himself seems to have some trouble with Big 10 wrestlers. I seem to remember him getting owned by Jake “Irish” O’brian – a smaller man that Lesner (not that they come much bigger). I see the whole Brock Lesner excersize as yet another attempt to re-energize the heavy weight division. If so, it has failed to do so yet in my mind. The power went out for a good chunk of the fight, and I don’t feel like I missed a thing. As for Brock’s (childish) behavior after the fight, I’m giving him the benefit of the doubt and guess in hind sight, Brock feels stupid, and will control himself in the future.

Norman945 Says, in 8-11-2008 at 19:47:33 from

And, Brock, I’m sorry I spelled your name wrong. An honest mistake.

Wand018 Says, in 8-12-2008 at 11:55:27 from

Heath was out of it as soon as he got rocked in the first round. Brock’s size and speed never allowed Heath to regain his composure. If they were to fight again I would say Heath would not disappoint. Brock needs to grow up or go back to WWE. I was exremly disappointed to see how disrespectful he was to Heath. BigNog will f his ass up.

Poopiestick Says, in 8-12-2008 at 15:23:23 from

Brock is like Kimbo but bigger.

Sean Wooldridge Says, in 8-12-2008 at 21:10:41 from

To control Heath Herring on the ground like that puts you right in the thick of it at least. He really needs to hold his own against a top BJJ fighter to be considered top 5 in my mind. That would be Big Nog, Verdum, Frank Mir…tell me if I’m forgetting somebody. If he can survive on the ground with somebody at that level, then I’m at a loss as to who can stop him in the UFC. It’s not going to be a ground and pounder, I’ll tell you that much.

WWE or UFC Says, in 8-13-2008 at 20:46:23 from

Brock did well, he had decent control on the ground which is a great start however he does have a power advantage over Keith so while I think that it was a great match I do not believe that it was a true test of his capability as an MMA fighter. At the end the show boating was so WWE and the bronco thing was weak as well. I like Brock but if he keeps that crap up someone is going to do some damage.

Dana needs to find a way to make Brock vs Fedor happen and yes I have seen the previous comments. Brock vs Kimbo would be nice too both strikers and very powerful as well. My last comment is on Kurt Angle he needs to stop sitting in the audience looking all intense like he is all bad ass. Someone needs to kick Kurt in the nuts and be done with it.

yoshi626 Says, in 8-15-2008 at 02:40:16 from

I’m a fan of both people, and I like Heath Herring better, but I was hoping Brock would win this fight. I thought 2 losses in a row and they might release Brock from his contract.

Brock is a huge guy and let’s face it, it’s gonna be fun watching the heavyweights have to use far superior skill on him to compensate for the size advantage Brock has. I want to see Verdum fight him…

I thought the fight was entertaining. I hope Heath gets another shot down the line and has more preparation. I think Heath just took that huge punch and broke some bones and that was it from there… he still held on for 15 minutes though, so you got to respect him.

xouki Says, in 8-21-2008 at 00:58:14 from

yo man, lesnar is like a bear. herring knows, you gotta play dead and maybe he’ll go away

PutoMendoza Says, in 8-27-2008 at 14:18:42 from

I think Brock can and will be a force to be reckoned with! Many people down play his abilities due to his background with the WWE but i think all he needs is a GOOD JU JITSU camp to solidify his ground skills (either gracie based or bj penn based). give him 6 months in such a camp and i think he has got all the potential to be a contender or even a champ.

J_satan_666 Says, in 9-2-2008 at 02:36:55 from

i think everyone agrees with one thing, brock loves humping, riding, and grinding up on a man’s ass. i’m not homophobic, i just don’t want to see that s*** in mma.
